Wat Phra That Pha Sorn Kaew, the most beautiful temple on Khao Kho
Wat Phra That Pha Sorn Kaew is a meditation place with beautiful scenery all around, overlooking Pha Sorn Kaew and the intricate mountain range. There is a meditation hall enshrining a beautiful jade Buddha statue inside, decorated with beautiful and unusual paintings. The meditation hall (Sala Phra Yok Khiao) is a square-shaped pavilion surrounded by large glass panels to allow people to experience the nature of the lush mountains, and there are also various flower gardens all around. Phra Phuttha Loet Rattana Chotimani or "Phra Yok Khiao" is a jade Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya attitude, which is an art form from the Chiang Saen period, carved from a single piece of green jade. The head contains the relics of the Lord Buddha. Phra Phuttaratanasamritphon or "White Jade Buddha" is a jade Buddha statue in the diamond meditation posture, built in the Gandhara art style. The head contains the relics of the Buddha. Bodhi trees are planted around the grounds to support faith, as they are considered trees that provide shade for the Buddha.
