Hong Kong | A Literary Stroll in a Newly Established Cultural Landmark within an Old Building
In the bustling and busy Wan Chai
There stands a renovated, retro-elegant white building
Nestled in a relatively quiet street
Housing the newly established Hong Kong Literature Museum 📕
The city is too noisy
Fortunately, there is a world of words where we can escape for a moment of peace
Reality is too overwhelming
Fortunately, there is a sea of books where we can dream and fantasize
The birth of the Hong Kong Literature Museum
Seems to create a spiritual utopia
For this land of materialism
The Hong Kong Literature Museum is located in a historic building built in 1920
A typical four-story Cantonese-style tenement building
After revitalization, it still retains the old red brick walls 🧱🧱
Chinese-style sloping tile roof, French doors and windows, and wooden stairs
The exterior wall has been restored to the black and white colors of the early 20th century, simple and elegant
Injecting a rich Hong Kong literary flavor into the old building
Inside the museum, in addition to the introduction of Hong Kong's literary culture and history
There are also handwritten works by many writers
Movies 🎬, TV dramas, and stage plays adapted from literary works
You can also borrow books for free in the casual reading room
Quietly flowing in the vibrant world of ink and paper 📖

This was my first trip to Hong Kong, and it was a bit different from what I expected
I took my child to Hong Kong over the weekend, mainly to meet friends. The Hong Kong I saw for the first time was somewhat different from what I had anticipated. We visited Tsim Sha Tsui, West Kowloon, Wan Chai, strolled around Victoria Harbour, Harbour City, and went up to the Peak. The streets of Hong Kong were not crowded, especially Victoria Harbour, where there were not many tourists under the night sky, and the breeze was very comfortable. It felt a bit like the Bund in Shanghai, but with far fewer people.
Another impression from this trip to Hong Kong is that dining in restaurants is really expensive, with a simple dish costing over 100, and even fast food like beef rice and noodles costing around 80-90.
Accommodation: After reading many posts online, we ended up staying at the Hong Kong Metropark Hotel Kowloon with our child. The environment was okay, at least the room we stayed in was relatively clean.

Hong Kong Bubble Tea Shop You Can't Miss!!
Hong Kong bubble tea that you've been looking for TenRen's Tea 🧋
Who else feels the same when visiting Hong Kong, being a foodie and a taster, you must collect all the delicious reviews. I'm one of them.
Today, I'm going to introduce a famous Hong Kong bubble tea shop where people queue up very long at the airport branch. Today, we found it in the Wanchai district.
Just walk out of the MTR Wanchai and you'll find it.
Luckily, we went quite late in the evening, so the line wasn't long. We tried the black milk tea with pearls and I must say, the first sip was so fragrant with tea!
The pearls were also good, chewy and soft, not mushy, delicious, just perfect 🥰🩷
Personally, I give it a 10/10. Everyone should try it out. When visiting Hong Kong, don't miss out on this bubble tea list.
The last picture is of people queuing at the airport.

Fabulous Christmas lights at Wan Chai Lei Tung Avenue Hong Kong
#christmastrip #christmaslights #wanchai #hk
Getting out from Wan Chai station Exit D and reaching the ground floor, you can enjoy the light decorations at Lei Tung Avenue themed with stars and celestial objects.
There are also more traditional Christmas trees and flowers.
If you still want to take more photos after visiting Lei Tung Avenue, you can walk north all the way (mainly via the footbridge to Exhibition Centre) to the Wan Chai Temporary Promenade.

WANCHAI, HONG KONG | I FOUND MY FAV DISTRICT
Ambiance ☁️
I called Wanchai as a commercial area filled with shops and offices. A lively crowd all day, where you can see hustling workers & shoppers here and there.
Highlights ✨
Don’t worry, Wan Chai is safe as other area! I can say the best place to stay in Hong Kong Island for backpackers and best place to shop.
If you like antiques, Queen’s Road East is the best place for you.

I visited Maison Meiji for the second time to try their latest izakaya.
I don't think this place is unfamiliar to everyone. I've been there before for fine dining, and the quality was excellent. So when I heard that they finally reopened for quarantine, we went to try it out again~ As usual, the decor is classical, and the izakaya has a long bar counter design, so you can watch the chef prepare the food. As for the food, there is currently only a single item menu available, so there aren't too many options to choose from.
📍Grilled Eel
The eel is plump and meaty without any bones, and it's grilled to a crispy outer layer~
📍Handmade Chicken Meat Stick
This is a must-order item every time we go to the izakaya. The chicken meat and cartilage are in perfect proportion, and the chicken meat remains juicy and flavorful. The texture is also great, and dipping it in the egg sauce makes it even smoother~
📍Grilled Snow Crab Shell
The crab meat and roe are savory and sweet, with a rich and intense flavor. Eating it with the codfish flakes is just right.
📍Wagyu Beef Sandwich: Thick-cut wagyu beef sandwiched between toasted bread. The beef is crispy and delicious, and the meat is fragrant, rich, and juicy. The bread absorbs the beef's oil and secret sauce, making the taste more layered.
📍Kagoshima Pork Roll Grilled Rice Ball
It's more upscale than you might imagine~ The rice ball is wrapped in Kagoshima black pork and then grilled. The pork is crispy and not greasy, while the rice ball is soft and fragrant. With their special sauce, it's sweet and delicious. You can also eat it with the lettuce they provide to balance out the greasiness of the pork.

【A retro Chinese restaurant in Wan Chai that serves Michelin-grade Chinese cuisine】
This restaurant in the Wan Chai Toy Street exudes a strong retro vibe from its storefront. The interior is designed in a nostalgic cha chaan teng style, with many photo-worthy spots. The restaurant uses vintage utensils from childhood cha chaan tengs. The owner hopes to take everyone back to the old times in this busy modern life. The restaurant has invited a star chef to prepare a series of Cantonese dishes and dim sum. Among them, the BBQ pork bun, shrimp dumplings, siu mai, seven-flavored tofu, yuzu chicken and pineapple sweet and sour pork are really of high quality. You must order them when you come here!

It is a beautiful and lively street. When I came, the weather was very good, even though it rained some days. During this time, there is a Christmas festival. The shops and streets are decorated with beautiful lights and flowers. There are many delicious foods to choose from, especially local food such as dim sum, breakfast, seafood, and desserts, especially egg tarts. At night, for drinkers, there are many bars and nightclubs, including restaurants with rooftop views. You can sit and sip cocktails and watch the atmosphere of Victoria Harbour. You can see the lights and take pictures. Everything is beautiful. I am very impressed and will come here often. Oh, I forgot to say that during the day, there are many places to see. There are temples and sacred places to worship and ask for blessings, whether it is luck, finances, work, or a partner. You can come to ask for blessings in Hong Kong. And lastly, I will never forget this trip. I spent a lot of money on shopping and I will hurry to work to save a lot of money so that I can come back to shop here again.

Hong Kong | Better than riding a sunset roller coaster.
| Better than riding a sunset roller coaster. Enjoy the night view on a Victoria Harbour cruise. Victoria Harbour is Hong Kong's backyard and is known as one of the "Three Best Night Views in the World." The sunset here is also unparalleled.
It's really nice to end the day on a Victoria Harbour cruise every night.

Hong Kong!! Wan Chai!! 5 nights at the Life Hotel... It's worth crying over.
A hotel full of retro vibes!! Right next to Wan Chai subway station √ Walk to the subway √ Spacious and comfortable √ Hong Kong-style retro. Sisters coming to Hong Kong must try this hotel.
The location is excellent. Friends coming to travel can just go straight there. It's about 200 meters from the door to Wan Chai subway station. It's very close and convenient to Causeway Bay, the Convention and Exhibition Center, Central, and Tsim Sha Tsui. There are also many delicious brunches and tea restaurants nearby.
The Hong Kong-style retro design is full of design sense. When you push the door into the reception, you feel like you're in a movie. Red retro elevator, dark green theme, leather door handles, brass desk lamps, every detail is full. Pure cotton bedding, the pillows won't collapse when you sleep, the bed is just right in terms of softness and hardness, and those who are used to their own bed don't have to worry.
The room is 20 square meters, which is already very large in HK. The floor-to-ceiling windows have excellent lighting and views. The sound insulation is very good. It's not noisy at all on the street. The bathroom and bathroom are separate, and the sanitation is also very clean!!

Wan Chai's Popular Hong Kong-style Café
This Hong Kong-style café is located on O'Brien Road in Wan Chai, specializing in authentic Hong Kong food and drinks. The interior is spacious and comfortable, featuring cozy booths with a distinct Hong Kong flair.
The restaurant offers a variety of freshly baked Hong Kong-style bread daily, along with multiple set meal options available throughout the day.
🔸T-Bone Steak Bigger Than Your Face - $128
This massive T-bone steak includes both sirloin and tenderloin sections. The bone in the middle releases a sweet aroma, keeping the meat juicy and preventing it from shrinking too much. The tenderloin has minimal sinew and fat, making it the softest part of the beef, while the sirloin has evenly distributed marbling, offering a richer flavor and a chewier texture. The side vegetables include crispy cabbage to balance the richness of the meat, and a whole baked potato for a filling meal. Alternatively, you can opt for white rice, pasta, or a Caesar salad.
🔸Borscht Soup
This bright red vegetable soup is sweet and sour without being spicy, made from a variety of vegetables, making it refreshing and healthy.
🔸Light Pineapple Bun
The golden, crispy crust is delightfully sweet, while the bun itself is soft and moist.
🔸Black Pepper Chicken Steak with Chicken Skewers and Rice - $62
The large chicken steak is tender and juicy, not dry at all, bursting with rich meat juices when bitten into. The chicken skewers are soft and juicy, almost melting in your mouth, with a fragrant black pepper sauce that is very appetizing.
🔸Iced Milk Tea +$3
The Hong Kong-style milk tea stands out with its strong tea aroma, complemented by a rich, creamy flavor. It starts off slightly bitter but leaves a sweet aftertaste, lingering in your mouth.

I can’t remember how many times I’ve been to Hong Kong, but I always have a new experience every time.
Hong Kong is really a city that is very suitable for Citywalk. It has the pyrotechnic streets of Mong Kok, the sunset car rides in movie scenes, and the romantic European style.
There happens to be the French Art Festival in Hong Kong in May. Come with me to take photos and check in.

Every year in May and June, the French May Arts Festival holds about 100 cultural activities, and the whole city is filled with a warm and romantic French atmosphere. Very tasty Phô with chicken wings on the side. Put them into the soup for extra taste. Great texture, taste and a good amount of noodles. Price/Quality is very good! Very nice experience. I can't say how authentic the food was, but it was definitely very tasty and diverse. The restaurant has a very reasonably priced set menu for dinner and the portions are very generous.
Our dream destination for our family trip is China as it's rich history, diverse culture, stunning landscapes, and delicious cuisine make it a captivating place to visit.

Global Autumn Pursuit | The bustling and psychedelic rainy night in Hong Kong, the city of cyberpunk
Leisurely walking on the MacLehose Trail, wandering around the streets of Wan Chai on a rainy night, feeling the bustling and psychedelic side of this city, the rainy night puts a layer of cyberpunk filter on this steel jungle.
Hong Kong, a metropolis where the glittering and the grime of the market are mixed, the ecological environment where skyscrapers and street stalls coexist pathologically, is like a symbol of the rich and the poor. Standing on the overpass on a rainy night, the neon lights are swaying, like the flowing picture in the movie, making me, a traveler and stranger in it, have nowhere to belong.
