Antarctica, this white continent, always has a kind of magic that makes people dream about it❄️✨. Last time I set out from Ushuaia and headed south along the route of the Antarctic Peninsula, I encountered Gentoo penguins 🐧, chinstrap penguins 🎒strap, rockhopper penguins 🪨rockhopper and Gentoo penguins 🏖️chin. Their cute looks have remained unforgettable to me till now 😍💕. However, the absence of king penguins 👑 and emperor penguins 👨‍👦 became a small regret of that trip 😭💔. One emperor and one king, each has his own world👑👨‍👦 • Emperor Penguin: As the largest existing penguin species, Emperor Penguins live on the ice fields and continental shelves of the Antarctic continent, mainly distributed between 66° and 78° south latitude. They are the guardians of the Antarctic winter and can reproduce in extreme cold. The male penguins will guard the eggs during the incubation period, showing unparalleled fatherly love💪💖. • King Penguin: King penguin is the largest penguin after the emperor penguin. It mainly lives on islands in the sub-Antarctic region, such as the Falkland Islands and South Georgia Island. They have orange patches on their necks, elegant postures, and gentle temperaments. On the third day of the voyage, we finally landed on the island for the first time. The number of them gathered in this area is very spectacular, and they are not afraid of humans at all. They just quietly groom and bask in the sun, occasionally looking up and looking around, and then continuing to squint; Xijiao Island is 6 kilometers long and 4 kilometers wide. It is an IBA controlled area. The island is home to short-winged boat ducks, South American penguins and red-legged giant falcons, as well as Conro's dwarf dolphins that surround the archipelago waters. The landing point in the afternoon is Saunders Island, located in the northwest of the Falkland Islands. It is the fourth largest island in the Falkland Islands. There are flocks of sheep on the island. It is also the residence of king penguins, yellow-browed penguins, white-browed penguins and long-browed penguins. From the speedboat, you can see from a distance a large group of penguins with their hips swaying and waiting in line for us to dock on the beach. From time to time, there are a few curious penguins following the team. November every year is the season for penguins to hatch eggs. If you are lucky, you will also see penguin babies who have not yet shed their fur playing on the beach.
