It's best to take the Yosan Line from Matsuyama Station, about a 30-minute one-way trip. The station still preserves a retro wooden station building, especially beautiful at dusk. 🏘️ Iyo-Ozu - Continue west by JR for about 20 minutes. This area retains the atmosphere of an Edo-period castle town. Must-visit spots include Ozu Castle and the old townhouses along the Hiji River, where you can also experience handmade washi paper. Starting from Songshan Station, it takes about fifty minutes to reach the most beautiful unmanned train station, Xiatan Station. The buses here cannot use transportation cards, so you have to buy tickets on site! After getting off the bus, you can take a few photos near the station (there are a lot of people). Walk along the road on the right and you will see a small rocky beach. I went down the stairs toward the beach and after a short walk you can see the railroad tracks. There are three in total. There are fewer people here than at the station, so you can take more photos. There will be many students sitting together in the car after 3 o'clock. It will be more convenient if you drive yourself. It’s near a shrine close to Iyo-Kaminada Station, which is right next to Shimokada Station. Google Maps Address: 1317 Futamicho Takagishi, Iyo, Ehime 799-3207, Japan I walked from Iyo-Kaminada Station, and it took about 20 minutes. When I visited around 4 PM on a Monday, there were no other tourists, so I could enjoy the sunset peacefully. 😌 * Make sure to check the train schedule at the station and try taking photos when the train passes by! I suddenly heard the sound of a train and got to see it passing by. :)

I was traveling alone, so taxis were a bit expensive, so I just walked. I recommend a taxi... 🥲 I was sweating profusely on the way up. Maybe it was because it was early in the morning, but there weren't many people, so I was able to explore comfortably. The walk up was tiring, so I took a break and enjoyed the scenery. When I used a Korean coupon to visit only the Kamihaga Residence, luckily, it was a good time for everyone to leave, so I managed to take a solo photo at the photo zone. 🥹 And Google gave me the wrong information... I took the wrong train, ended up going to Matsuyama, and then back to Iyo-Ozu. I only had an hour in Ozu, and didn't even realize it was closed on Mondays...^^... . I only saw the Sota Chair...
