This is the opening hymn by Fraulein Maria, when she escapes the Abbey and roam around the Unternberg, exactly where the scene is being shot. The scene where the von Trapp family escapes the Nazi's arrest to Switzerland was also being film there. The highest peak is at Berchtesgaden Hockthorn at 1973 meters. It spans between Berchtesgaden in the Germany and Salzburg at the Austria. The trails are very smooth and easy to hike and climb and there are stairways and roads, so you do not need a lot of assistance to ascend. A very nice hiking experience indeed.

#2024wish It was winter when I was in Salzburg Austria. One of the most memorable moments from this trip was the time spent in top of Untersberg. My wife held my hand while we walked slowly in the thick snow on top of the mountain. We didn't walk too far as the visibility was low. However, we took some great photos. In 2024, I hope to visit Mount Fuji in Tokyo Japan as it has been my dream for so many years. I hope to enjoy the snow there too.

When we were travelling in Salzburg, we got the Salzburg card which entitled us to visit a lot of places for free. Untersberg was one of such places. Untersberg is a mountain in Salzburg. I always love to view snowy mountains. Thus, I was thrilled that Untersberg was one of the places covered by the Salzburg card. We took the cable up to the peak and took a small walk over there. The weather was not so good and thus we did not have a good view of the surroundings. However, it was fun walking around in the snow on the mountain.

On the top of the Alps, there is still unmelted snow. In order to hold the snow in person, we took the cable car to the Winter Mountain in the morning. Asian days go to Salzburg, usually the trip is placed in the Mozart house, the food alley. As everyone knows, Winter Mountain is the first attraction of Salzburg on the cat eagle. Looking at the distant mountains and mists, the green mountains and white snow, isnt it better than being lost in the alleys? If you are ready for mountaineering equipment, there are several mature walking routes for people who love outdoor hiking to conquer.
