I stayed at Hoshino Resorts BEB5 Tsuchiura, a cyclist-friendly hotel that just opened in 2020! Directly connected to Tsuchiura Station, it has excellent access! As expected from Hoshino Resorts, the interior is stylish and fashionable. It seems to be a hotel for young people, and the services are minimal. (Pajamas are available for rental at a fee, and amenities are available at the front desk or by bringing your own. There is no restaurant in the hotel, so breakfast is provided at a cafe in the shopping mall directly connected to the hotel.) I went to Tsuchiura Castle Ruins🏯, which is a 15-minute walk from Tsuchiura Station!!! This is a long-established sandwich shop. It has become a new, stylish store shortly after exiting the Tsuchiura Kita interchange. Tsujiya's specialty is the vermicelli sandwich. All of their products are delicious, but this one is a must-try. The bread is fluffy and the size is just right. The egg sandwich is made by hand-peeling boiled eggs and mixing them with seasonings.
