[Tsukiji Honganji Temple's recommendation: Morning activity to build up stamina with a tour of egg breakfasts]
If you're touring the Hibiya Line, we recommend starting in Tsukiji in the morning. For those who are tired of seafood, we'll be touring other delicious things besides sushi, so make sure you're hungry from the night before.
Tsukiji Honganji Temple, located just outside the station, is a Jodo Shinshu Buddhist temple beloved by its followers and the local community, and also houses a Buddhist school, where many funerals for famous people have been held. The gorgeous gold Jikoin Temple is guarded by the Amida Buddha, said to have been hand-carved by Prince Shotoku, and is used by office workers who arrive in the rush hour to relax in the morning before going to work.
Tsukiji Honganji Temple was designed in an eclectic style inspired by ancient Buddhist temples in India and Asia, by architect Dr. Chuta Ito, who traveled the Silk Road to study temple architecture around the world in order to evolve Japanese architecture during the Taisho era. It has a pipe organ, which is not usually found in Buddhist temples, and holds concerts here.
The cafe in the information center serves a healthy vegetarian breakfast set of 18 dishes only in the morning.
Tsukiji's fresh fish market has now moved to Toyosu, but the outer market for tourists and general shoppers is still standing, with gorgeous street food and casual Japanese-style bistros lining the streets.

🍛🍲🍣Recommended food in Tsukiji: Freshly baked croissants and bread shops and siphon coffee shops are affordable at around 300–1000 yen.
Rice dishes with toppings such as seafood bowls, beef bowls, and tempura bowls, inexpensive meat dishes, ramen, popular Chinese food, and sushi eaten at a seat are all around 1000-5000 yen per person.
Seafood skewers are 1000-5000 yen, while high-end ingredients such as wagyu beef and sea urchin can cost over 10,000 yen.
If you are interested in the degree to which Buddhism has been integrated into Japanese life, the bidding and pricing of food ingredients in the food and beverage industry, and the fact that Toyosu Market is closed to the general public, it is a good idea to experience and speculate on the outward hospitality of Tsukiji, known as the "kitchen of Tokyo."
