[Okinawa] Uruma City - Day trip to Tsuken Island, a remote island close to the main island of Okinawa
Tsuken Island is an Okinawan remote island that can be accessed in about 15 minutes by high-speed boat or 30 minutes by ferry from Heshikiya Port, near the tip of the Yokatsu Peninsula in Uruma City.
Tsuken Island is a small island where 60% of the island is carrot fields, and it is also known as "Carrot Love Land".
It is an island that can be fully enjoyed even on a day trip, so I took advantage of my day off to visit it.
I used a rental bicycle to tour the island.
I rented a bicycle for 500 yen a day at "Azuma Shoten", which is a short walk from Tsuken Port.
First, I went to the tourist attractions "Hotugaa" and "Carrot Observatory".
The distance between the two is very close by bicycle, but there are many steep slopes, so I needed a lot of physical strength to pedal the bicycle.
After that, I went to "Tumaihama (Tsuken Beach)".
The highly transparent cobalt blue sea is a masterpiece.
There are also facilities on the beach where you can enjoy marine sports, snacks, and BBQ.
The ocean is the best after working up a sweat while cycling.
Go in the ocean and have a meal.
There are clean toilets and showers, so you can relax until the time for the return boat.
Tsuken Island is compact in size.
Please come and visit us sometime.
