If you live in or stay at Tseung Kwun O or Lohas Park area, other than jogging, cycling or walking your dog along the promenade, now you have a new place to do so - The Cross Bay Link. The main design of the bridge is the double-arch, and illuminated with LED spotlights at night time. The Cross Bay Link could be a bit windy in the winter and also a bit crowded on a day with beautiful weather. A regular walk would take about 30 to 45 minutes. The best path is to start from the Lohas and end at TKO South, where you find lots of restaurants, cafe or bar with al fresco dining and of course a seaview. This is the perfect place to spend quality time with your love ones. Now that the weather is getting warmer, one of our favourite pastimes is visiting the Tseung Kwan O waterfront promenade for a relaxing stroll and good food. Honestly, there’s so many new restaurants popping up nearby that we can’t keep track anymore! It was a pity that all the outdoor seats were already taken, but we were still intrigued by the affordable ‘authentic Pan Asian cuisine’ tea sets, so we decided to give @chillilimehk a try. The tea sets include a complimentary tea or coffee, or you can top up for special drinks like the Thai milk tea or Indian Masala Chai. [Seafood Laksa] We were pleasantly surprised by the broth! It was a bit thicker and creamier than usual and not as spicy as we thought it would be (take it from a tongue that has a tolerance of absolute zero), adding a rich coconut flavour to the rice noodles, prawn and bean curd. [Chicken Wings with Garden Salad] The juicy chicken wings were absolute perfection with tender meat inside and an extra crispy skin that was flavorful enough that we didn’t even need to use the sweet chilli Thai sauce on the side. In contrast, the garden salad was not as outstanding, but still refreshing and abundant with different ingredients. [Butter Chicken with Garlic Naan] The luscious curry had quite a spicy aftertaste, so it’s best to pair each bite of chicken with the garlic naan. I can work from home recently, so I decided to go out for lunch to cool off. 🍃 I have always wanted to try PICI's lunch set because it is said to be very cost-effective and super affordable compared to the night market price. Turns out, they actually opened a branch in Tsim Sha Tsui last year, and it was doing really well, so they decided to expand 🎉🏙️. However, the interior design is completely different. They mentioned that they have grass dance performances every Friday and Saturday, which adds a fun and interesting element to the dining experience 🌿🎶. Speaking of the food I had, I opted for some of their more unique dishes 🍽️🌟. The cold appetizer of Hummus was delicious, especially when paired with a drizzle of olive oil to enhance the flavors 🫒😋. The hot appetizers were also quite impressive 🔥👌. As for the main course, I ordered the chicken roll, which was packed with flavor 🍗🍚. It was wrapped in rice and the chicken was incredibly tender. I heard they slow-cook it for 8 hours, so they really put a lot of effort into it, and the sauce was also very unique 🕒👨🍳. Finally, I tried one of their desserts, which had a great depth of flavors, and I paired it with a floral tea. Even the teapot had its own charm 🍰🌺. For a relaxing weekend, hop over to Tseung Kwan O Waterfront Park. You can have a meal or drinks at one of the many restaurants in the area and many of them are pet-friendly! There are also dog parks where you can let your dog burn off some excess energy. You may also get a chance to meet other dog lovers in the area. Remember to clean up after your dogs and help to keep the area clean for everyone to enjoy! There is also a bike rental shop (at Savannah Place) so kids can also enjoy a workout when they are here! Here it is super chill and relaxing! You can jog, cycle or walk a dog, a cat or even a huge tortoise like what I have seen today LoL. The common route here is to start from Lohas Park to Tseung Kwan O and further to Tiu Keng Leng, and vice versa. Occasionally, you could see various types of water activities like dragon boating, kayaking, and fishing. And when near sunset, all boats and sampans will rush back to the typhoon shelter. Picnic, stretching, dancing, singing, skateboarding – all by the seaside. At weekend, there are tents on grass or rocks at the seaside. What’s more relaxing than being in such neighbourhood? The Tseung Kwan O Cross-Bay Bridge is newly opened, so of course you have to come and experience the charm of this bridge! We took the subway to Tiu Keng Ling Station, rented a shared bicycle, and officially set off! The bridge is a three-in-one bridge for people, bicycles and cars, which is very special in Hong Kong. You will also see beautiful sea views along the way, which is very relaxing! I recommend this place to everyone for a day trip~

I haven't been to Tseung Kwan O for a long time. I used the $150 gift from the Tourism Board to exchange for skewers and wine...
