Situated alongside the scenic Tseung Kwan O Waterfront Park, @route99_hk is a vintage American diner that is spaciously designed with plenty of photo ops and pet-friendly furniture for your puppy to join in the meal (the name 99 literally sounds like ‘dog dog’ in Canto) We were the only ones seated in a separate room for non pet-owners (boo-hoo) when we came for early dinner. The dinner set included a creamy pumpkin soup, coleslaw salad, a main dish of your choice and drinks. Like a true American diner, the portions were so big that we left with a super full belly. [Texas Burger] The whopping burger was a mouthful of crispy bacon, fried onions, jalapenos, lettuce, gooey cheese and a juicy patty dressed up with BBQ sauce. We added $28 for the Route 99 fries, which was evilly delicious with bacon chips, cheese and thousand island sauce. [Pesto Shrimp Pasta] This was a little bit too spicy for me due to the chili flakes, but I still enjoyed the sweet shrimps and chewy pasta covered in herby pesto sauce and crunchy pine nuts. [New York Cheesecake] We had to add $38 for this ultra velvety cheesecake instead of $28 as stated on the menu, but it was all worth it. Recently, I have found out a new italian restaurant in Tesung Kwan O Popwalk. Their self-made pizza margarita is the best, the texture of the dough is similar with traditional italian pizza. One of the best in Hong Kong. Also, their spaghetti with seared octopus is fantastic. You can taste the briny flavor from the seafood. 📍Sham Tseng Chan Kee Roasted Goose (Tseung Kwan O) Shop 127, 1/F, The Wings 2, 19 Tong Yin Street, Tseung Kwan O Today, I met up with a friend to find some food in a restaurant in Tseung Kwan O🍴. As soon as we stepped in, the rich aroma of roasted meats filled the air. Couldn't resist checking out the menu and quickly placed our order😋. First up was a plate of roasted goose🦆. It was so shiny and tempting that I wanted to try it at lightning speed💕. With one bite, the crispy skin and tender meat, combined with the rich flavor, proved why it's their signature dish🤤. Next was the roasted pork and rice🍚 chosen by my friend. The char siu here is really good🤯, perfectly balanced between lean and fatty. The meat is tender, and the sweet honey glaze pairs wonderfully with the white rice🥢. Lastly, we had the salted fish and chicken tofu pot🥣. Served piping hot, it was fragrant and delicious. The tofu was incredibly smooth, and the salted fish's unique aroma combined with the flavorful chicken pieces made it a perfect companion for white rice😍. Overall, the taste at this restaurant is quite good. Both the presentation and the quality of the food are impressive👍. Can't wait to try other dishes next time🤩.

After a day out with mom in Tseung Kwan O, we stumbled upon this Fujian cuisine restaurant originating from Singapore. Both the food quality and the service provided by the staff were extremely satisfying! 🔺Steamed Razor Clams with Minced Garlic They are currently promoting razor clams with eight different ways to prepare them, and you can get two dishes for $219. These razor clams are a bit different from the geoducks we usually eat; they are shorter but the meat is very plump and juicy. Covered with a generous amount of minced garlic and drizzled with hot oil, the taste is fresh and sweet! 🔺Grilled Razor Clams on Iron Plate The razor clams are baked with salt to lock in the freshness, and there's a slight charred flavor around the edges, giving you a taste of the delicious salt-baked flavor in every bite! 🔺Chilled South African Abalone @$68 My first time eating abalone with a knife and fork😂 The abalone, grown on natural seaweed, is very bouncy and delicious! 🔺Drunken Prawns in Bamboo Tube @$48 The bamboo and prawns are both large, and the live prawns are stewed with Angelica and aged wine, making the prawn meat tender and bouncy, with a broth that is rich, sweet, and aromatic. 🔺Stone Pot Smooth Tofu $98 The Japanese tofu is fried until crispy on the outside and silky smooth on the inside. The guide incorporates the unique ideas and creativity of Tseung Kwan O neighbors, showing new imaginations of the new town community and discovering its unique charm. Just a casual look has seen quite a few familiar photos and discover the back story that has never been heard! Free tours were offered every weekend during the exhibition, and the children and neighbors were very brave to interact just in time to meet the tour guide brother.
