With a global perspective, it systematically presents the diversity and freshness of world art. It is an art space for popularizing art education and experiencing historical culture, and it is also a new footnote for Chinese and Western cultural exchanges. It is the first art museum in China authorized by Picasso's son Silvio Picasso and the foundation to exhibit Picasso's works and develop secondary creations.
The exhibition revolves around Picasso's blue period, rose period, cubism period to neoclassical period, with circus-inspired paintings, and nearly a hundred works are on display.
❤Picasso Introduction:
Pablo Picasso (1881-1973), one of the most creative and influential artists in contemporary Western countries, is the greatest artist of the 20th century. He was also the first person to see his own works exhibited in the Louvre in France. Throughout his life, he was almost penetrated by art. He constantly changed styles and broke the boundaries of artistic soup. Later generations used the phrase 'Picasso is always young' to describe his changing artistic forms.
✅Blue period from 1900 to 1904:
Full of tragedy, the thin image of the person in the painting and the cold gray blue tone, full of loneliness and despair, disaster and misfortune. During this period, he was very poor, the first art exhibition was not very good, and his very good friend Casagemas committed suicide due to a failed marriage proposal, which also had a certain impact on Picasso. The blue-toned paintings emphasize melancholy and sad emotions.
👍Rose period (pink period) from 1904 to 1906:
The color begins to be clear and bright, and the characters depicted are vivid and realistic. During this period, Picasso met and fell in love with Orwell in Paris. Plus he sold the first painting of his life, 'The Boy with a Pipe', for $30,000. So he abandoned the sadness of the blue period and gradually became interested and confident in life.
✅Cubist period from 1907 to 1916:
It was during this period that Picasso created the first major work marking the beginning of the Cubist style, 'Les Demoiselles d'Avignon'. By 1909, Picasso had established his own truly new painting language, which was to understand and analyze from the connotation of things, and no longer stay in visual representation.
❤Neoclassical period from 1917 to 1924:
The picture focuses on the expression of realistic style. Picasso's neoclassical painting depicts the three-dimensional structure of three-dimensional space, but compared with traditional classical painting, it has a different charm and interest.
🌟Surrealist period from 1925 to 1932:
Depict features with fine details, and create a picture interwoven with illusions and dreams through recognizable, deformed images and scenes. Picasso thus entered the most mysterious 'surrealism' exploration in his life, and Picasso's life also fell into a whirlpool. He began to appear in public with a dissolute personal image.
👍Metamorphosis period from 1932 to 1945:
The abstract paintings of this period combine cubism, realism and surrealism. The violent deformation, distortion and exaggeration of the brushstrokes, and the accumulation of geometric figures, express Picasso's complex emotional life. During this period, he also created one of his most famous paintings, 'Guernica'.
✅Pastoral period from 1946 to 1973:
Still mainly abstract paintings that combine cubism, realism and surrealism, the techniques are more flexible and proficient, the picture is rough and vigorous, and harmonious and unified. Picasso at this time has settled in his old age and enjoys life. The inspiration for the painting comes from the bits and pieces of his life.
