Fountains in Trafalgar Square - London
In Trafalgar Square visitors can see two beautiful fountains. Initially, they appeared here in 1840 and served, first of all, not as decoration, but in order to reduce the size of the square in order to avoid mass demonstrations. In 1939, the fountains were replaced with more modern ones, now they are decorated with bronze sculptures of a triton, a mermaid and dolphins.
Everyone who is coming to the Trafalgar Square will see these beautiful fountains.
