[2025 Dalian Hotels] Travel Guide for Tianxi Hotel (Updated Aug)

After the May Day holiday, I found cheap flights from Nantong to Dalian, so I immediately booked tickets and packed my bags for a spontaneous seven-day trip to Dalian. Day 1: The flight departed at 8:05 AM and landed at Dalian Zhoushuizi Airport at 9:30 AM. I took a taxi to Tianxi Hotel near the train station, had lunch at Dalian Shopping Mall nearby, rested at noon, and familiarized myself with the surroundings in the afternoon. Then, I took the subway directly to Tiger Beach Fisherman's Wharf. Day 2: Visited Zhongshan Square, Haichang Oriental Water City, Russian Style Street, and Houguan Ancient Street. Day 3: Joined a local one-day tour to Lüshun (booked on Ctrip). Day 4: Took Metro Line 3 directly to Jinshitan, bought a ¥20 combo ticket for the scenic area bus. The first stop was the core attraction—Jinshitan National Geopark. Walking along the coastal boardwalk, I saw ancient rocks shaped by thousands of years of waves, resembling layered cakes, eagles spreading wings, elephants drinking water, and turtle-shell patterns... truly awe-inspiring. Day 5: Checked out and took a taxi to a hotel near Xinghai Square. Walked around Xinghai Square, Golden Beach, Silver Beach, and Fujiazhuang. In the evening, enjoyed the light show at Xinghai Square (music fountain available during peak seasons and holidays). Day 6: In the morning, hiked up Lianhua Mountain. Took a taxi to the South Gate 1 of the zoo, with options to walk, take a cable car, or ride a mini train. Personally, walking or the cable car (for a bird's-eye view of the sea) was preferable. In the afternoon, took Bus No. 16 near Xinghai Square, passing Harbor Square and People's Square, and got off at the Convention Center stop. Walked to the yacht marina, strolled along the coast to Haichang Oriental Water City. As the sun set, the golden light bathed the classical European-style buildings, while gondolas glided through the water, creating ripples. Tired from the day, I ordered sea urchin dumplings at Xiding and enjoyed their excellent service. At night, the lights at Haichang Oriental Water City were mesmerizing, harmonizing with the surrounding architecture. Day 7: Took a direct flight back to Nantong from 10:05 AM to 12:05 PM and arrived home by noon. Transportation: Mainly relied on the subway, supplemented by taxis. Most attractions like Tiger Beach Fisherman's Wharf, Jinshitan Geopark, and Xinghai Square are directly accessible by subway. Food Highlights: Dalian-style stewed rice cakes, stir-fried rice with sea sausage, mackerel dumplings, shrimp dumplings, sea urchin dumplings, locust flower pancakes, and other seafood. Special mention to Xiding's sea urchin dumplings! Special Reminder: If planning a trip to Dandong, avoid Mondays.

First China, First Chinese Food, Dalian, there were a lot of Koreansㅎㅎ Chinese food didn't suit me at all, but it wasn't bad to go to the continent to experience the culture and foodㅎㅎ Dalian is the best!!

🥂Yuanweijia (Xinglin Street Store) 📍 No. 98, Xinglin Street This ten-year-old store is located in a residential area. There won’t be many queues after summer. The signature dishes are indeed top-notch and can leave a deep impression on people. ✅Kimchi cheese buns The cheese is very stringy, the milky aroma is rich, and it is paired with spicy and sour pickles. The taste is quite unique~ However, at 10 yuan/piece, the price-performance ratio is really average. It is worth checking in to try it out of curiosity🤔 ✅Special roasted pork belly It beats the grilled pork belly from 90% of Dalian barbecue restaurants. It’s crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The heat is really well controlled. It’s mixed with fruity and peppery aromas. I love it😌 ✅Cheese egg roll An egg roll without an eggy smell is a good egg roll (no 🤫 There is a lot of cheese in it and it is full of milk flavor. There is a transition in texture from the inner layer to the outer layer. Eat it while it is hot 😋 ✅Bibimbap There are six or seven kinds of side dishes, and they are rich in variety and quantity. They even served them with a bottle of hot sauce that was so squidgy, haha! You can adjust the amount of sauce according to your taste😆 ✅ Fried cake Eat it while it's hot Eat it while it's hot! When it first arrived, the skin was still sizzling and oily, and it was super crispy! But after letting it cool for a while, it becomes greasy🥲 ❌troop hotpot To be honest, his Army Hotpot is the worst Korean food I had in Dalian. The soup tastes neither fresh nor fragrant, like Korean hot sauce + water. There are many types of ingredients in the dish, but the freshness cannot be complimented. The taste and value for money are very low🙅🏻‍♀️ There is a small boulevard at the door. It is quite nice to check in and take photos as you pass by. There are a few parking spaces🅿️ but you have to be very lucky to get them haha It’s quite a remote location, so be careful, otherwise it’s easy to miss it haha

After a tiring walk, I ate something in a small shop opposite Fujiazhuang and waited for the sunset. The sunset was quite fast, and the wind was blowing, so my hands were frozen when I took out my phone. Fujiazhuang is also a famous attraction in Dalian, and everyone who comes to Dalian will go there.

I've wanted to see the sunrise for a long time. While the earth is still asleep and the stars are still twinkling, I stand quietly by the sea, waiting for the dawn to break. The sea breeze gently blows, as if whispering the secrets of dawn. Gradually, the sky turns white, and the gentle light spreads carefully, like a painter gently touching the canvas.
