🌊The First Waterfall Under Heaven is truly breathtaking! Baizhangji Travel Guide✨
Family, I recently visited Baizhangji, known as the "First Waterfall Under Heaven." The scene really gave my young heart a huge shock💥 I couldn't wait to share this joy with everyone once I got back. Without further ado, here’s the guide👇
📍Address: Baizhangji Town, Wencheng County, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province
🎫Tickets: 55 RMB for adults, discounts available for students, seniors, etc. Remember to bring your ID~ (Buying tickets online is more convenient and can save you some money💰)
🕙Opening Hours: Summer time 07:30 - 16:00; Winter time 08:00 - 15:30. Make sure not to miss the entry time!
🚗Transportation:
1. Self-driving: Just navigate to "Baizhangji Scenic Area North Gate Parking Lot." Very convenient for self-driving travelers, and the parking fee is reasonable.
2. High-speed train + carpool/shuttle bus: Take the train to Wenzhou South Station, then choose carpooling (about 50 - 80 RMB per person, quite cost-effective if you have a group) or take the Wencheng-bound shuttle bus (about 2 hours, ticket price 36 - 50 RMB). After arriving in Wencheng, transfer to the scenic area.
🗺️Recommended Route: Strongly suggest entering from the North Gate and exiting from the South Gate. This way, the whole route is basically downhill, saving a lot of energy. Otherwise, climbing will really make you question your life choices😭
- Baizhang First Waterfall: This is the highlight! A waterfall with a drop of 207 meters, truly "like a silver river falling from the sky." Standing below the waterfall, the roaring sound is deafening, and the splashing water cools you down on a hot summer day🧊 Perfect for photos, especially at the viewing pavilion—every shot looks like a masterpiece📷 Just remember to bring a raincoat, or you’ll get soaked like a drowned rat.
- Baizhang Second Waterfall: Here you’ll find a super fun water curtain cave. Walking behind the waterfall feels like entering a fairyland or a martial arts world, as if you might see a little dragon girl next moment🧚♀️ But the cave is slippery, so be careful when walking. There’s a free hairdryer outside, which is really thoughtful.
- Baizhang Third Waterfall: Compared to the first two, the third is more like a gentle beauty, with a calm flow but impressive width. You can relax here, take photos, and feel the tenderness of nature.
📸Photo Tips:
1. Outfit: Wear bright colors like red or yellow dresses to contrast with the green waterfall background; if you like traditional style, you can rent a Hanfu to shoot some fairy-tale martial arts photos by the waterfall.
2. Shooting Time: Morning is best for the first waterfall with front lighting, making photos clearer and more beautiful.
3. Angles: For the first waterfall, shoot panoramic views from the pavilion; for the second, take silhouettes in the water curtain cave; for the third, shoot from a low angle to highlight the waterfall’s width.
🍜Food Recommendations:
1. Wencheng Noodles: Local specialty with chewy noodles and rich broth, very satisfying.
2. Bowen Sesame Cakes: Crispy and delicious, available in various flavors, perfect for snacking while exploring.
3. Glutinous Rice with Yam: Soft, sweet, nutritious, and tasty.
❗Notes:
1. Wear non-slip shoes as the paths inside the scenic area are slippery; safety first.
2. Bring a waterproof phone pouch to prevent your phone from water damage.
3. Holidays are crowded, so try to start early to avoid peak crowds; otherwise, you’ll have to queue for photos.
4. The last shuttle bus leaves at 16:30, so keep track of time and don’t miss it.
Besides Baizhangji, nearby attractions like Tianding Lake and Liu Ji’s Hometown are also worth visiting. You can plan a 2-3 day trip for a deeper experience.
Family, Baizhangji is truly a place you’ll fall in love with once you visit. Pack your bags and set off on a spontaneous trip now🚀
