Students will be thrilled to stay at this hotel when visiting Hefei!
Hefei Westin, a great experience for Marriott Platinum members||I stayed at Hefei Westin on a business trip. I read the reviews, which were mixed, so I didn't have high expectations. But after checking in, I was pleasantly surprised!
Location: It's very close to the South Railway Station, less than 20 minutes by taxi. It's in the city center, next to Wanda Plaza and Baogong Park, so it's very convenient for eating, shopping, and visiting the park. It's great for both business and leisure.
Room: I booked a basic room, but the front desk upgraded me to a regular suite. The suite is two regular rooms connected together, which some people complain about, but I found it very comfortable. After all, it was a free upgrade, and the space was twice as big. The room also had a foot massager, which was very comfortable.
Service: I have to praise the service. As soon as I entered the hotel, a bellboy helped me with my luggage and escorted me to the elevator after check-in. And! Platinum members can get 2 pieces of clothing dry cleaned/ironed for free, worth over 100! This was the first time I encountered such a benefit, so I made the most of it and had 2 pieces of clothing dry cleaned every day. They were ironed perfectly straight. It was great to get such a good deal.
Breakfast/afternoon tea/happy hour: Breakfast was very good, with Huainan beef soup, which I had every day. Afternoon tea is in the executive lounge on the 23rd floor (with views of Baogong Park and Qingfeng Pavilion), with a few small cakes and sandwiches. Happy hour in the evening was also beyond my expectations. The hot dishes in the steakhouse on the first floor were like a small buffet, and there was a noodle stall. The most amazing thing was the whole cakes, including a red velvet cake one night, which was delicious!
Pool: This was very average. It's open to the public, so there were a lot of kids, and it was very noisy. The changing room was also very messy, and the massage pool in the changing room was empty. The pool was so crowded that it was impossible to swim.
Overall, it was a great experience! For over 600, I stayed in a suite, with breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner, plus 2 pieces of dry cleaning, and a pool to swim in.
