"There is a hotel called St. Regis" I don't think so It’s a St. Regis experience that has no merit but is not worthy of the name. After all, the name of St. Regis is quite famous. First of all, there is nothing to say about the location. The 71-square-meter suite we stayed in was quite beautiful, and the city view was OK. It felt quite comfortable. The lobby of Shanghai Jingan St. Regis was renovated this year. Unfortunately, the decoration has been completely new, but the service is still second to none. The most remarkable thing is still the concierge at the door. His service is very enthusiastic. His slogan-like welcome speech can show his enthusiasm for this job. In comparison, the so-called butler service was average. He gave us a stumbling introduction to the hotel on the way to the room. When we got to the room, we didn't give any detailed introduction to the Caroline Astor Suite, which was of some significance in the Regis, and it was over. 🔚Before each introduction, ask "Do you want me to introduce you?" In fact, the tone is: Please don't let me introduce it to you. 😑 However, their 24-hour tea and coffee service is still good, and the room service was delivered very quickly several times. For anyone that is looking for a more elegant experience away from the crowds and in a hotel that has been in Shanghai for some time now. Look no further than the St.Regis. It is one of the older Hotels in Shanghai and it holds close to keeping its standard. The rooms are elegant and the whole hotel screams Art Deco. It feels like you are transported back in time. There are two great restaurants on the 2nd floor. A Japanese and a Chinese one. The food is good, but if your looking for something a little more elegant I would recommend the bar on the first floor. It is a large area and never packed out it does offer some good cocktails and snacks. All in all I would recommend this hotel for the business traveler. I wish to write a review for St Regis Shanghai Jingan. It is amazing. The best hotel we have ever stayed. All staff are friendly and wonderful service. Our butler, Oliver Cai, is the best person we ever met in Shanghai. He was so kind to prepare drinks, food, milk and even traveling suggestions to us. The room was clean and they have provided us cleaning services twice a day to ensure our room was tidy. The cleaning lady is friendly too. I would love to stay in St Regis Shanghai Jingan again and hopefully we can have Oliver to be our butler again.

For the final night of my Shanghai trip, after a tiring day at Disney and City Walk, I wanted to unwind at the hotel, so I chose the St. Regis Jing'an! My boyfriend had prepared a custom room key in advance, and my heart skipped a beat when I opened it! It had our wedding photo printed on it, making it a wonderful keepsake 🥰 Although I booked the room for 1,900 RMB, I was upgraded at check-in to a 3,000 RMB-level Manor Executive Deluxe Room! The room was spacious at 60㎡, and the view from the 48th floor was breathtaking, especially with the sunset—it was pure bliss ✨ The 24-hour housekeeping service was available, but it took over 10 minutes for tea to arrive, which was a slight letdown. However, the staff's attitude was incredibly friendly! Even the doorman kindly carried our luggage and greeted us with a smile, saying, "Enjoy your stay!" 😊 Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, though it was quite crowded. Using a 100 RMB coupon, we had lunch at The Drawing Room, where the ham and melon, as well as the salmon tartare, were absolutely delicious! The pool is domed with stars. After a swim, I lay by the heated jacuzzi with a special cocktail, looking up at the glittering Jing'an Temple. It's a lovely city, easy to get to, and doesn't take long. I have to say, we were traveling on a very, very limited budget. I've already been to Taiwan this year and just got a new job. Let's get started. On the first day, we booked tickets. Air Asia, arriving in Shanghai around 6 or 7 AM. I bought a three-day train ticket, I think, to save money. You can ask at the counter. I recommend bringing cash, as they still accept them. I've read a lot of reviews from travelers who almost became victims without a credit card, lol. We got our tickets and set off for the hotel. We took a long ride all the way to People's Square, right where we were. Our hotel was great. I can't remember the name, but I'll add it later. Let's start with the food. We had KFC, so I didn't know how to order, which was hilarious. But the staff were kind and helpful. They were a bit early, so we had to wait until 10 AM. We sat waiting to check in and sleep, obviously because we didn't sleep last night, lol. We finished at 6 PM and headed to Nanjing Road. We reached the hotel, and then got lost. The water's starting to clear. The weather's nice and I love the cool breeze. I kept walking and got lost and ran into a bull, just as I'd planned before coming. I'd come here to catch eggs so I could get rich, lol. I caught one and then walked back to the hotel. Day 2 I went to the places I wanted to go, but I can't remember where I wanted to go, but I was still lost. Luckily, I bought a ticket that was within my budget. Day 3 It was the same as usual, going to the places I wanted to go. I paid respects to the Buddha and ate hayter. Day 4 I prepared to check out, left my luggage, and would come back later that evening to get it. Then I went sightseeing again. The hotel staff were lovely and told me to bring water along the way. As usual, I flew back with Lion Air. No matter how many times I flew, it was delayed for a good 3 hours. I didn’t expect the breakfast at St. Regis Shanghai Jing’an to be the worst among the three hotels this time 😓 The environment is nice, but the refinement of the dining tables does not live up to the St. Regis name at all! There aren’t many food options, and the taste and refinement of the dishes are below standard; only the egg white omelet was acceptable.
