It boasts over 200 ancient trees and is known as 'China's most beautiful ancient forest' - a pure land on earth.
🍃 Niunianping, the starting point of the ancient Tea Horse Road, with its vast tea gardens
April is the most beautiful time of the year, with everything growing and the green tea trees covering the hills like 'fingerprints of the earth'. The tea garden is picturesque with its spring greenery, and it's busy with tea picking. Besides enjoying the flowers and scenery, you can also hike the small loop, pick tea leaves, cycle around, and learn about tea. There are hardly any food vendors in the park, so it's recommended to bring some water and food.
🍃 A Zen hotel hidden in the secret forest.
I tried it out for the 'Top 10 Must-Sleep Green Luxury Awards' in China. The hotel is located within the Yunfeng Mountain Scenic Area, opposite Yunfeng Temple. Here you can hear the temple bells, the chanting of monks, and every morning the hotel butler reads scriptures on the chanting platform - a very healing moment.
🚗 Share itinerary:
Day one: Sleep in until naturally waking up, leave around 10 am, have local snacks for lunch in Xingjing County, such as Zhou Ji's ancestral Bangbang Chicken (with many bamboo shoot side dishes, a quarter is enough for two people), Dada noodles, etc. After lunch, arrive at the hotel, drink tea, visit Yunfeng Temple, daydream, and after dinner at the hotel, take a leisurely stroll and soak in a private bath. (There is a famous Taihu Fish Restaurant 300 meters from the hotel that closes at 7 pm, and it takes about 40 minutes to roast a fish, so it's best to call ahead to reserve)
Day two: Also sleep in until naturally waking up, have breakfast and then head back to Chengdu. Stop by Shangli Ancient Town for lunch on the way, and visit Niunianping Tea Garden in the afternoon for sightseeing and tea drinking.

Next to this hotel, there are thousand-year-old temples🕍 and thousand-year-old Zhen Nan trees🌳. After we arrived, there was a butler to pick us up. The butler service here is very good👍. We arrived at noon, just before the noon class, and the temple explanation class at three o'clock in the afternoon. We went to participate with the butler.
We set off with the front desk and the explaining butler, and there is a suspension bridge under the wooden escalator. A fog spray machine is installed on it, and a bunch of fog is sprayed out every once in a while. The designer planted green leaves next to it, and it feels like entering a fairyland when the fog comes out. There are also red maple trees🍁 next to the suspension bridge, but unfortunately they have withered now🥀.
Entering the temple with the butler, I felt a very special magnetic field. Looking up, the tall trees blocked the sky here and there. The day I went there was a little sun, and the light fell on my face. The light blocked by the leaves was not dazzling, and it felt very warm and comfortable in this winter. Walking to the front of the hall, the incense burner emits strands of incense smoke, as if a filter is applied to the hall, which looks solemn and sacred. I took three incense sticks from the incense box in front of the hall and worshipped, and looked at the red dreams on the wishing wall floating with the wind...
It took about forty minutes to visit the temple. When I returned to the temple, the butler kindly reminded us that there was a free afternoon tea available. So my friend and I went to the tea room, where we could play chess and copy scriptures. The black tea given by the hotel was boiled in a casserole, with a few red dates in it, and it had a faint taste of glutinous rice🍵
After drinking, I went back to the room to rest for a while, and went to taste the hotel's meals in the evening. I ordered a few dishes with nice names. The chef's plating was very delicate. I tasted it and it was surprisingly good. I originally thought that such delicate things might not be so delicious, but I didn't expect it, hahaha
In the evening, I also participated in the eight o'clock bowl chanting evening class. The moment the bowl and the body frequency resonate, I feel that my body and mind have been purified. After the evening class, I went back to the room and took a nice bath, and fell asleep on the bed🛌. It was the most comfortable sleep I have ever had, and I slept until I woke up naturally.
After breakfast, my friend and I left to play in the next place, but this hotel surprised me and gave me a big surprise, so I couldn't help but share it. Everyone can come and experience it
