The Museum of the Nanyue King of the Western Han Dynasty, the largest painted stone chamber tomb of the Han Dynasty in Lingnan
The Museum of the Nanyue King of the Western Han Dynasty,
located at No. 867, Jiefang North Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City,
is a national first-class museum.
It is the tomb of Zhao Tuo, the second king of the Nanyue Kingdom, which was discovered in 1983.
It is the largest and only Han Dynasty painted stone chamber tomb discovered in Lingnan area.
More than 10,000 cultural relics were unearthed from the tomb, including the "Emperor Wen's Seal" gold seal, jade horn cup, gold-inlaid inscription tiger knot, printed copper plate mold, flat glass copper plate ornaments and other cultural relics with great historical, scientific and artistic value, reflecting the political, economic and cultural aspects of Lingnan two thousand years ago.
The "Relics of the Nanyue Kingdom" and "Maritime Silk Road" at the Tomb of the Nanyue King have also been selected into China's World Cultural Heritage Tentative List.
The museum has a construction area of more than 17,400 square meters, mainly displaying the original site of the Nanyue King's Tomb and its unearthed cultural relics.
The museum is built on the mountain with the ancient tomb as the center. It organically connects several different sequences of spaces, including the comprehensive exhibition building, the ancient tomb protection area, and the main exhibition building, highlighting the collective style of the site museum. It is a brilliant representative of Lingnan modern architecture and has won six domestic and international architectural awards.

The King of Nanyue wore this silk thread jade clothes at that time, and was buried with pearls and jade. It is a must-see piece in the museum.
It is the only set of complete silk thread jade clothes found in my country so far.

The only Han Dynasty work before the Ming Dynasty, very precious,
It occupies an absolutely important position in the history of jade,
It cannot be exhibited abroad.

The masculinity of the dragon and the softness of the phoenix shown in the jade bi form a wonderful contrast beauty,

Including the copper top decoration of the Vermillion Bird screen, the copper top decoration of the double-sided animal head screen,
one copper support of the human-controlling snake screen, one copper support of the snake pattern screen,

The main coffin chamber is for Emperor Wen himself, and behind it is the rear storage room,
which is equivalent to a warehouse, with many large bronze artifacts,
