This is an excellent ice cream shop. I've never had such amazing ginger milk ice cream! Every bite is bursting with rich ginger flavor. I also love the mochi pandan flavor, which is smoky and chewy. The popular Singaporean handmade ice cream brand, The Ice Cream & Cookie Co (ICC), has opened its first overseas location in Hong Kong, on Gough Street in Central! The shop's dark blue exterior is a stylish eye-catcher. The Hong Kong location offers 12 low-sugar ice creams made with natural coconut flower candy, including the signature Mochi Pandan Coconut, Mango Sorbet, Pistachio, and Mochi Peanut Butter. With this scorching heat lately, the best thing to do after a meal is definitely to have some ice cream as dessert. Let's go. This time, we went to The Ice Cream & Cookie Co. on Gough Street in Sheung Wan. Last time, my wife and I tried their soft serve in Sha Tin and really liked it. This time, we came to try their signature ice cream sandwiches. After having the soft serve last time, we also bought some cookies to enjoy slowly at home. Heating them up makes them incredibly delicious—gaining a few pounds is totally worth it! Plus, they have so many different flavors here, which is awesome. After buying, we took them upstairs to savor slowly! My wife and I chose the kaya pandan and caramel crisp cookies, and the ice cream was white peach oolong tea flavor. One bite and the texture is rich and icy cold—so refreshing! The crispy cookies combined with the smooth ice cream is truly irresistible. Seeing that they recently launched new Southeast Asian-inspired desserts and drinks, my wife wanted to be a bit indulgent, so we tried them too! This drink is a white peach oolong milk cap with a smooth and creamy texture—really good. The peach aroma combined with oolong tea is perfect for summer. We also tried the pandan kaya French toast with coconut ice cream! The moist French toast has a strong pandan flavor, topped with a scoop of icy cold coconut ice cream. Drizzled with palm sugar syrup, the hot and cold contrast is really exciting. The ice cream shop also launched ice cream mooncakes called "Gilded Straits Moon," which sounds so poetic! The best part is that besides the ice cream mooncakes, they also come with gold-rimmed porcelain and gilded cutlery. My wife is already smitten, so I have to buy a box to give her.

As soon as you step into the shop, you’ll see their signature cookies! There are new flavors this time that you definitely have to try. Walking further in, you’ll find the ice cream display! The shop warmly encourages everyone to taste before choosing their favorite ice cream. So nice. We quickly picked our preferred cookies and ice cream flavors to create our own ice cream sandwich, and also chose an additional ice cream flavor to share. Then we took our treats upstairs to a cozy seating area to enjoy slowly! First up was a scoop of Coffee Chocolate Crunch for $58. The coffee and chocolate flavors are perfectly balanced and not overly sweet, with crunchy bits inside adding texture that makes it even more enjoyable. For the ice cream sandwich, I chose the Kaya Pandan Cookie x Caramel Crunch Cookie paired with White Peach Oolong Tea ice cream for $89! The Kaya Pandan cookie has a soft, chewy texture bursting with Southeast Asian flavors, while the caramel crunch cookie is richly fragrant with caramel aroma, very tempting. The large scoop of white peach oolong tea ice cream carries both tea and fruity notes, and together with the cookies, it creates a multi-layered, sweet, and delightful taste. Seeing the menu’s introduction of this brand-new series called “A Tropical Southeast Asian Dream in the City,” I couldn’t resist trying more. White Peach Oolong Milk Cap for $69! Made by blending oolong tea and white peach with a milk cap, it has a beautiful gradient pink-peach color that’s very eye-catching. The creamy milk cap is smooth and pairs perfectly with the subtle peach fragrance and tea flavor, delivering a fresh and charming taste! Pandan Kaya French Toast with Coconut Ice Cream for $119! The soft French toast is infused with rich pandan flavor, topped with a scoop of coconut ice cream and drizzled with Malacca palm sugar syrup. The hot and cold combination creates a smooth, sweet, and delicious experience that’s truly addictive. The shop also launched its first ice cream mooncake gift box, “Gilded Straits Moon,” featuring jewel-toned packaging paired with gold-rimmed porcelain and gilded cutlery—so elegant. The mooncakes come in four flavors: pandan coconut, mango yuzu, rich chocolate, and cranberry cookie, two pieces each. It’s a very classy gift for yourself or others, definitely worth getting.
