#chinatrip We took about 27mins of train to travel from slightly out of city towards city center just to arrive to this place. Surprisingly, there was not many people around and probably people are mostly inside the big shopping mall around this building. We notice those that visited this place are mostly kneel down and pointing their camera upwards just to capture this beauty all in one picture. I would say it is worth it though looks weird for kneeling down around the street. Psst! If you wish to see this building from a far, I would suggest you to go to Picturesque just about 15-20mins train away from this place!

We were supposed to come here for sunset view, unfortunately we missed the golden time 🥲 However, we continue to stay here for the skyline from bright turn into dark, another level of enjoyment! A Cantonese restaurant on the 6th floor of the South Tower of the Gate of the Orient, a landmark in Suzhou. The view was amazing, and I could see Jinji Lake and the IFS on the opposite bank. You can also see the fountain show on Jinji Lake at night. Most of the seats have a lake view, which is nice. The view was great, and the food was delicious, so I was very satisfied! Everything was delicious! Showing Y’all some more aight from this amazing location. this spot is situated right in front of the gate of orient and stretches along the west side of the jinji lake. Right in front of the Gate of the Orient building is this really big park which nearly wraps around the entire west side of the Jinji lake. it is this water front park where you see so many people and locals and tourists, coming to enjoy the beautiful sights. From this location you can get a clear view of the other side of the lake which is where the Times Square area is and the tallest building in Suzhou, the IFS tower is. Today was a really foggy day at the Gate of the Orient. the clouds covered the sun ⛅️ and it was a bit dark. but nevertheless it was still such a beautiful sight. First, it holds unforgettable memories for us during a particularly stressful period. Second, the hotel meets our child's needs, being close to Suzhou Center Mall and within walking distance via a pedestrian overpass with beautiful scenery along the way. There are so many dining options nearby that it's hard to choose. The lakeside boardwalk outside the hotel is perfect for morning jogs, and evening walks are especially romantic with views of the Twin Towers and the reflection of the Crowne Plaza hotel in the water. The Crowne Plaza Suzhou is located by Jinji Lake in the Suzhou Industrial Park. The hotel's location is exceptional, situated right on Jinji Lake, surrounded by attractions like the lakeside walking path, Gate of the Orient, Suzhou Center Mall, Lakeside New Town, Li Gong Di, International Expo Center, and Culture and Arts Center. After dinner at Suzhou Center Mall, we took our child for a walk around Jinji Lake and watched the musical fountain, which made them very happy. The hotel has a unique style with a luxury cruise ship theme. Its distinctive architecture resembles a grand vessel ready to set sail on Jinji Lake, while the interior features modern decor with cruise ship elements. We stayed in a lake-view room that offered stunning views of the gardens and lake. The room was elegantly furnished and comfortable, with a soft bed and high-end amenities like JBL speakers, Dyson hair dryer, and smart toilet. The Executive Lounge is excellent, with thoughtfully prepared cakes. Children can even pick a small toy at the exit, which I've never experienced at other hotel lounges. Overall, highly recommended!

I originally thought it was just a plain sculpture, but when I looked up close, its size and momentum were extraordinary. It was strange yet cool to see two large doors standing stiffly in the middle of the city. It had a definite presence that I couldn't ignore as a lump of concrete.
