Our stay in Ålesund was 10 hours. Since we had plenty of time, we had a leisurely breakfast, took photos of the empty ship, and then walked around the city👟 The wind was so strong at the observation deck after climbing 418 steps that I thought we would be blown away, but it was great to get a panoramic view of the Art Nouveau cityscape👏🏻 The restaurant at the top also has a great view, so even just going for tea makes you feel elegant. The Art Nouveau Centre in Ålesund is based on a real pharmacy and has a very stylish interior 💊 The walls on the second floor are made of Japanese gold leather paper, which made me happy to see the unexpected connection to Japan ☺️ It is connected to the neighboring KUBE Museum by an underground passage, which seems to mainly hold exhibitions by local artists.
