[2024 Bali Stay] Travel Guide for The Apurva Kempinski Bali (Updated Nov)
Aquarium Restaurant in Bali
#aquarium
#100waysoftravel
Dining surrounded by beautiful, large fish—yes, that was my amazing and unforgettable experience at Koral, Bali's first aquarium restaurant. Its a truly unique dining experience by blending gourmet cuisine with the beauty of an underwater world. Located within the luxury Apurva Kempinski Bali resort, Koral allows diners to enjoy their meals surrounded by a mesmerizing aquatic display.
What standaout this aquarium restaurant is because the restaurant is encased in giant aquarium-like walls filled with a variety of colorful marine life, including tropical fish and coral reefs. The tranquil movement of fish creates a peaceful and immersive atmosphere, making you feel as if you’re dining beneath the sea. Moreover, the interior design features ocean-inspired elements such as seashell chandeliers and elegant wooden finishes, complementing the surrounding aquarium walls. This blend of luxury and nature enhances the overall experience.
The underwater setting creates a magical and intimate vibe, perfect for a memorable night out. If you are visiting Bali, you should experience it.

The Apurva Kempinski Bali Hotel - the island's first underwater restaurant is so beautiful!
This year's birthday month, the sixth hotel I stayed at is the Apurva Kempinski Bali Hotel in Nusa Dua. The hotel is situated between the magnificent cliffs and beautiful beaches of southern Bali, with a majestic main building based on traditional Balinese architectural style combined with tropical landscape features. We were amazed by the hotel's grandeur and scenery as soon as we got out of the car! The hotel's interior design is inspired by Indonesian interior design styles and traditional aesthetics - a perfect blend of Indonesian cultural charm and European classic elegance!
We stayed in a beachfront pool suite - during check-in, there was no need to wait in the lobby, as we could directly go to the 9th floor club for priority service. This is also where breakfast, afternoon tea, and Happy hour are provided for guests staying in suites or higher room types. It's worth mentioning that the club's breakfast lasts until 12 noon! After checking in, we took the elevator down to the first floor, where a golf cart took us straight to our beachfront pool suite with a private pool - leading directly to the bathroom. The bathroom's interior part incorporates traditional Balinese elements and adopts a spacious and bright modern design concept - looking out the window, the lush garden surrounding the pool adds to the endless holiday atmosphere.
The hotel's underwater restaurant Koral: Bali’s First Aquarium Restaurant is not only the first but currently the only underwater restaurant in Bali. The ambiance and dishes are great, and the prices are much cheaper than in Sanya and Dubai. It's a must-visit when in Bali!
Bali is truly a place full of charm and mystery. Its unique geographical location and multicultural background offer tourists a rich travel experience. The Island of the Gods, where paradise and deities poetically dwell, forests and oceans grow freely. In this mysterious land of Bali, culture and international perspectives collide and merge, creating Bali's unique allure - that's why, having almost traveled to all the islands in the world, Bali is still my favorite. If all the islands were likened to a person, Bali might not be the most beautiful one, but it is definitely the one with the richest cultural heritage, religious background, proficiency in music, dance, and art, and a variety of charms!

Rediscover Bali-Ubud
Third time to Bali but first to Ubud. Very touristy area with lots of shopping, restaurants, spa, and hotels. Most impressive is the Kempinski hotel the view was jaw dropping. I like the nice restaurants but they aren’t cheap. Enjoy going for message and spa whenever I could. Surprisingly the weather is not as hot as Singapore and it’s even a bit chilly at night !
It a work from abroad trip and a little too short to explore everything . Coming back soon !

One of the best bali hotel ever
I really enjoyed my stay at Apurva Kempinski Bali! One of the best hotels in Bali that I ever stayed at. The service by the staff were so good and everything was well taken care off. Even the concierge service was good for restaurant bookings as well as helping me to post my postcard out for free. I enjoyed the view very much and lots to do in the hotel. Huge gym and free activities daily and I got to try out yoga. They have free paddling activities and also activities you can book with concierge like horse riding by the beach. Food was great and many options (Chinese, Japanese International). Breakfast had wide options too and the chef was really friendly and able to customise for me vegetarian food and even checked if I will be dinning in with them the next day so they can prepare. Overall, I would be visiting them again if I get a chance to and really highly recommended to go! Really love the architecture too ☺️ #freehotelstay #bali #service #beachlife

The Apurva Kempinski - Nusa Dua, Bali
A major player in luxury hotel, Kempinski - finally opens its first hotel in Bali called The Apurva Kempinski in 2019. The hotel is a resort style with hundreds of rooms and suites. The hotel’s architecture is truly unique and resembles an ancient Javanese temple. The hotel lobby is one of the main feature that you cannot miss. The hotel rooms and suites are staggered from the top of the hill and down towards a private beach. The view from both the top and bottom of the hill was stunning. The room feels new, clean and serviced twice a day. Guests will be spoiled for choice when it comes to restaurants at the Apurva, offering local Indonesian, Chinese, Japanese and western cuisines. Other amenities are also available such as a compromise spa menu, gym, pool, private beach and beach club and even a chapel.

One of the nicest hotel in Bali I’ve been!
It was grand right from the entrance, the architecture of the hotel, the size, the facilities. The hotel itself deserves at least a one whole day for you to sink in and enjoy every parts of it!
There’s multiple restaurants here that carries different cuisines. I didn’t book in time but if you’re going, Koral restaurant where you dine in the aquarium is pretty cool!
Tips: Definitely go for the breakfast buffet, huge selections and overall really delectable. Very family friendly hotel. The only down side is that pools closes early and post 12am there’s nothing much going on. But I guess it’s just a different type of enjoyment from the other parts of Bali, where for here you are just enjoying yourself and really rest & relax.

📍Koral Restaurant
I finally got a chance to try this resto! This restaurant is called “Koral Restaurant”. It’s located in Apurva Kempinski Hotel in Nusa Dua, Bali.
Once you got there, they would welcome you with some welcoming drink and food. They got two tasting menu, so you can choose yourself. If i’m not mistaken, they will change the menu every week.
The food tasted pretty great and unique. Every dishes have different presentation and they were all pretty. If you’re lucky, you can sit on the ‘alley’ where you can see bunch of fish swimming above you (pict 4).

Bathing with a View
📍The Apurva Kempinski, Nusa Dua, Bali
I stayed here twice. I like the ambience, the design of the hotel, and the people. Since it’s a hotel and during seasonal break, it will be so packed and their service can be a little slow. If you stay in certain room, you will get an access to their lounge. You can get afternoon tea and evening cocktails.
I used to hate their breakfast because it was sooo average for a 5 stars hotel but my second visit here was actually surprised me. They taste a lot better than before. Got more options also .
Their in dining room food was also tasty. I love their fried rice!

Beautiful Luxury Resort
We stayed here last weekend, my favorite luxury resort in Bali. The service from everyone was impeccable, particularly the manager Armini, and one of the Ladies in Red, Demi. They helped me plan a surprise for my fiancee, and it was really special and memorable thanks to their help. Highly recommended all around, from the modern rooms to the tasty food and friendly staff.

Enchanted Wedding Chapel
If you stay at Apurva Kempinski, you don't need to go anywhere else. Almost all leisure activities can be done here, so it will not be boring. For me, morning is the right time to explore all that is around the 14-hectare Apurva complex. While walking or jogging, I can enjoy the beautiful sunrise moment, then swim, take a shower and finally have breakfast :)
What catches my attention the most every time I jog in the morning is this building. Yes, this chapel is really gorgeos when it's exposed to the morning sun. The design is inspired by the traditional house of South Sulawesi, "Tongkonan”. It's very beautiful, so symmetrical and very detailed! Especially when you enter it, with a view that directs to the blue ocean with a romantic sky. Anyone who makes a wedding here and their guests will surely cry. because of the solemn atmosphere and amazed because the chapel was so good!

Unique and Magnificent Hotel!
I'm so glad I had the opportunity to stay at Apurva Kempinski in Nusa Dua last year. At that time, there were not many restrictions, so I could enjoy almost all the facilities in Apurva. I fell in love with all the beautiful interior and exterior designs of the hotel, using many wooden elements and Javanese carvings, very detailed! In Sanskrit, Apurva itself means unique and magnificent.
The service of the staff is also friendly, even if there are many inspection processes, it is more due to procedures for the safety and comfort of guests. After checking in we will be given a welcome drink and escorted to the room... if your room is far away, you will be escorted by buggy, if the room is close, you can walk :) Oh bytheway my room was so spacious, very comfortable and able to accommodate my stay experience for 3D2N. The bathroom is also luxurious, with a bath tub overlooking the garden.
The swimming pool is large and spacious, you are free to choose which pool you want to swim in. What's even better is that Apurva Kempinski has its own private beach, so we can just walk straight to the beach. The breakfast menu is very varied: Asian- Western and Indonesian dishes are all complete. It's really an unforgettable luxury stay.

Dine-in Under The Sea!
Koral Aquarium Restaurant: amazing dine-in under the sea experience with delicious, beautiful food and professional service starting from the lift doors open. We were warmly welcomed to our seats in the glass tunnel. Sitting among the sea water with views of hundreds (and maybe thousands?) of beautiful sea fish. What a fun and unforgettable moment!
I am very satisfied with the service. The food is delicious. Super recommended for those who want to celebrate events or just want lunch/dinner with a unique experience. This restaurant is located in The Apurva Kempinski Bali complex, and is open to the public, not only for hotel guests. It is advisable to make a reservation in advance.

One of my favourite resort in Bali. it is the Apurva Kempinski Bali. resort nya megah dan baru. luas banget dan kamar nya nyaman. saya stay di kamar yg ada private pool nya. keren nya adalah view private pool nya menghadap ke ocean jadi nambah indah deh pemandangan nya.

Bali Bliss: Sunsets, Serenity, and Fusion Feasts
#indonesiatrip #bali #awesomepic
Bali, Indonesia, is a paradise that blends natural beauty with cultural richness, offering something for every traveler. From golden beaches to world-class resorts, it’s the perfect destination for unwinding and soaking in unforgettable moments, especially during the island’s spectacular sunsets. During my time in Bali, I discovered some of its most magical spots, indulged in local fusion cuisine, and even ventured to the stunning island of Nusa Penida.
One of the highlights was catching a sunset at the chic W Hotel Bar in Seminyak. As the sun dipped into the horizon, the vibrant colors filled the sky, creating a dreamy backdrop. The atmosphere was lively, with chilled music and stylish crowds, making it the perfect spot to sip on cocktails while enjoying the cool breeze. The trendy vibe of W Hotel is balanced by its laid-back ambiance, offering a great escape from the day’s adventures.
I also experienced the beauty of a sunset at Kempinski Hotel, where the view was simply breathtaking. Kempinski is renowned for its luxury and elegance, and watching the sun sink into the ocean from their picturesque lounge area was a truly serene experience. As the sky shifted from blue to orange and purple, the peaceful setting of the hotel offered a more tranquil and intimate sunset, perfect for a quiet evening with a refreshing drink in hand.
For my stay, I chose the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa, which provided a perfect balance of Balinese hospitality and modern luxury. Located on a pristine stretch of Nusa Dua beach, the resort felt like a peaceful haven, with lush gardens, traditional Balinese architecture, and the soothing sound of waves. It was the ideal place to relax after a day of exploring Bali’s vibrant culture. The on-site spa offered indulgent treatments that made the stay even more rejuvenating.
No trip to Bali would be complete without indulging in its local food, and I was thrilled to experience Indonesian fusion cuisine. The blend of traditional Indonesian flavors with modern twists brought out the rich spices and vibrant tastes of the region. From satay and gado-gado with unexpected contemporary elements to seafood dishes bursting with freshness, the meals were a delightful exploration of Bali’s culinary creativity.
Adding a touch of adventure, I took a day trip to Nusa Penida, an island off the southeast coast of Bali. Known for its dramatic cliffs, crystal-clear waters, and pristine beaches, Nusa Penida is a paradise for nature lovers. I visited the famous Kelingking Beach, where the cliffside view is shaped like a T-Rex, offering jaw-dropping vistas of the turquoise sea below. The island’s hidden gems, like Broken Beach and Angel’s Billabong, showcased some of the most striking natural landscapes I’ve ever seen. Nusa Penida’s raw beauty and secluded beaches offered a serene contrast to the bustling life of mainland Bali.
