The Confucius Temple is located at the foot of Hutou Mountain, next to which is the Orr Forest School. The Taoyuan Confucius Temple was completed in 1989. It is a majestic, tranquil and solemn building with an ancient style. I accidentally drove in here while looking for a parking space. During the Spring Festival holiday, I specially arranged to visit the Or Forest School. However, I drove all the way up to the entrance of Hutoushan Park and couldn't find a parking space, so I asked my wife and children to get off the car first and then I slowly looked for a parking space. As a result, I accidentally drove into the parking lot inside the Confucius Temple. I have been to several Confucius Temples in Taiwan, and the Taoyuan Confucius Temple is one of the largest ones. Confucius's thoughts have had a profound influence on Chinese culture, and his Confucian philosophy of teaching everyone is also known as the "Eastern Socrates." Confucius was also an educator, philosopher, and politician. The Four Books and Five Classics, the classic Chinese Confucian books, have also had a great influence on Chinese culture. The Confucius Temple is usually locked and seldom open to the public. Only during the Confucius Memorial Ceremony can one get a glimpse of the temple interior.
