Hidden sights in Tokyo| Katsushika Ward with a strong flavor of the Showa era
Today I plan to take a look at the birthplace of the anime Oolong Police Station, Katsushika Ward, Shitamachi Old Street, Tokyo.
In addition to various bronze statues of Ryotsu Kankichi to check in, there is also an old street full of Showa atmosphere - Teishakuten Sando Shopping Street, which has a variety of souvenirs, including Kame family’s dango (pictured) 6) 🍡Even Japanese people come here to buy it, which of course attracts me. The red beans are not too sweet, and they are a perfect match for the dumplings! Remember to try it🩷🩷
After visiting the old streets, you can also stop by Shakten Temple to pray for peace. I feel that this trip is very suitable for elders.
📍Shibamata Station (Shibamata Station)
Take JR and get off at "Shibamata Station". As soon as you exit the station, there is a statue of the protagonist of the movie "The Story of Torajiro".
🧷 Shibamata Toy Museum: There are many retro snacks on the first floor, and there is a toy exhibition hall with tickets on the second floor, 200JPY/person. The photo in front of the door is really great. I really like this Japanese retro style. It seems like I have traveled through time.
Just like in Showa movies
🧷The pilgrimage route to Emperor Shakten: a retro old street with some old shops and restaurants on both sides, selling all kinds of handicraft souvenirs, and the old tall wooden house shop that was the prototype of the movie "The Story of Torajiro". The retro buildings are well-organized and well-organized. visit

Tokyo Shibamata - Teishokuten Sanro
Besides Asakusa, my favorite places to visit in Tokyo are
There is also the Taishakuten Shopping Street in Shibamata.
There are fewer tourists here.
The strong Edo period style is retained.
At noon, I found a century-old eel rice restaurant to enjoy lunch.
The overall atmosphere around is relaxing and pleasant.
After shopping in the shopping street,
I saw a century-old meatball shop and went in for afternoon tea.
Although I don't know the names of some of the desserts,
But overall it was delicious...
Although Shibamata is a bit far from Shinjuku (an hour's drive),
But I still recommend a visit.

Hidden Scenic Spot in Tokyo: Shibamata Taishakuten – A Thousand-Year-Old Temple and Nostalgic Charm Deep Within the Old Street**
**【
Stepping into Shibamata in Tokyo’s Katsushika Ward feels like traveling back in time to the Edo period. This well-preserved old street is famous as the filming location of the "Tora-san" series, and hidden behind it is the Taishakuten Sando, a secret treasure trove rich with historical atmosphere.
Along both sides of the Taishakuten Sando, old shops stand side by side, from century-old wagashi (Japanese sweets) stores to traditional stationery shops, each telling the story of Shibamata’s past. Climbing the stone steps, you are greeted by the solemn Taishakuten Temple, which enshrines Taishakuten, one of the "Shibamata Seven Lucky Gods," said to grant wisdom and good fortune. Outside the temple, verdant pine trees and the gentle sound of wind chimes instantly calm the mind.
This place is not only a site of faith but also an excellent spot to experience the slow-paced lifestyle of Tokyo residents. After exploring the Sando, don’t forget to try a bowl of authentic Shibamata Ningyo-yaki, letting its sweet aroma accompany your memories and become the warmest part of your journey.

【Tokyo Photographer】Take a yukata to "Teishakuten Sando"
#TokyoItinerary #TokyoPhotographer
I was traveling alone in Tokyo recently, and I brought my yukata with me
I thought I would wear it while enjoying the fireworks, but I didn't have the chance to see it 😔
Luckily I also made an appointment with the photographer📸 to take pictures of yukata👘😊
This photographer is from Hong Kong, Japan, so communication is very convenient
And very enthusiastic, before I was sure whether to take a picture or not
Already very nice to talk, and assisted me, the road addict, to find the way to find the station
We made an appointment to take a yukata photo at "Tempura Tensando" 👘
And because I was road-obsessed and didn't know how to change trains, I came to my station to pick me up at my destination
After taking the casual clothes, we changed our clothes to take the yukata 👘
This was taken right in front of the restaurant where we ate
During the photo 📸, the photographer prepared many reference pictures
Let me see how to pose or frame
Of course I didn't learn enough 🤣 the Sample photos are so beautiful
During this time he will guide how to pose, how to stand and so on
And let him notice some of my little moves🤭
Every time I take a photo with a different photographer there is a different spark 😉
The photographer was so hot that he was soaked all over without stopping
Non-stop shadow, shadow, shadow
Most importantly, the works are beautiful!
Today I will post a few, there are many, many beautiful photos 🥰
Friends who are interested in coming to Tokyo
You can ask him to take a picture @photoinjapanjp
Patient, attentive, and easy to talk to😂
