The Tabin Wildlife Sanctuary plays an important role in raising wild animals and protecting mammals. In the park, visitors have the opportunity to witness three of Sabah's larger mammals: the Borneo Dwarf Elephant (BorneoPygmyElephant), the Sumatran Rhinoceros (SumatranRhinoceros) and Tembadau (a type of bison). Located on the Dent Peninsula, 50 kilometers northeast of Lahad Datu, this reserve attracts many tourists from near and far every year. The Tabin Wildlife Sanctuary is located beside the huge plantation hills, providing sufficient food resources for the wild animals that haunt the area. The focal point of a tourist's itinerary is definitely watching wildlife at night, but it's a very different experience than watching animals at night in a night zoo. But there's no guarantee you'll be able to spot these elusive animals. If you are not too lucky, you may meet civet cats, Malay owls, bearded wild boars, pythons, etc. If you are very lucky, you may see one or two dwarf elephants. Even if you don't see these strange creatures, swimming in the crisp Ripad River at dusk (be very cautious in some reaches is deep), or tumbling in the mud at the Ripad Volcano mud vents, is a rare treat. Activity. There is also a plank road that allows you to penetrate the forest. The trip is very exciting. Of course, you must feed some blood to the leeches. This may be the "close contact" with wild animals that tourists may achieve.
