Suwon Fortress in Autumn
#fallingforfall
Suwon Fortress is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is located in Suwon, Korea. It is one of the most important historical sites of the country and is the only castle in the country whose walls remain intact. Transportation is very easy and it is 10 minutes from Suwon Station.
When you come here, you can walk around the city walls, ride a bike or visit the old watchtowers. In autumn, a magnificent view is seen with the color change and shedding of the leaves of the trees and I recommend you to observe this change here.

Suwon fortress lake park is located in the city of suwon, South Korea. The distance to the station is 30 minutes on foot and 10 minutes by bus.
This is a beautiful place during the day and at night. Especially in autumn, you can do many nice activities such as watching the falling leaves, listening to the classical music playing around the lake and enjoying the view by having a picnic with your friends. Here, you can sit at the bottom of the lake or sit at the old korean building, one of the watchpoints of the castle, and watch the city.
You can rent specially prepared picnic baskets from the nearby markets. Afterwards, you can take a stroll on the walls of the castle accompanied by music.

Beautiful Hwaseong Fortress Suwon, Kore
Last year I visited Suwon Hwaseong Fortress with my family. It is situated in Suwon city wich some 50 mins drive from South Korea's capital Seoul. As the name describes, it is a fortress which was constructed in the past purely for defence purposes. However, presently this has been converter into a tourist attravction by the city administration.People visit and climb upto the fortress as it located on a hill top. At night especially, it looks all the more beautifup because of colourful lights which decorates it. There were alot of visitors who came to see with friends and families. Outside the main gate there was a large yard where kids could play different games. A wonderful site..

🍀A really, really atmospheric place! But it's so, so hard to get there. A hill I've walked for the first time in a long time...? It's almost like a mountain! But it's so pretty when the sun starts to set. The lights from Banghwasuryujeong come on and the reflection on the water is so beautiful. It's a time zone where you can't miss anything❤

South Korea's Suwon|Two hundred years of breath by the wall
In the south-central part of Gyeonggi-do, half an hour away from Seoul, there is a city of monuments, which is the best destination for a look at the late Joseon architecture, where the Japan-Korea World Cup was held. There are also traditional fried chicken and the world's only public toilet museum.
By convention we decided to go to the visitor center. When I jumped off the bus, I was attracted by the dragon-like city profile. When I talked about the city wall, I felt that there were some broken walls in my impression, but it was intact. This Huacheng is the most beautiful building in the north of the city. It is enough for a long time around the city!

Hwaseong Train is a sightseeing train between Badashan and Lianwutai. The faucet in front of the train symbolizes the heroic position of the ancestor (the 22nd generation of the DPRK, the reigning time of 1776~1800), and the carriage of the passengers imitates the sedan chair of the king. The total length of the Huacheng train route is 3.2km, and it takes about 30 minutes from Badashan to Lianwutai.

Suwon, located in the center of the Korean peninsula, is a satellite city of Seoul with mountains and waters, "filial piety" and city-government civilization. Every corner here has the imprint of history and culture. The most famous ones are Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, Hwaseong Fortress and Xijiangtai. Among the three, Suwon Hwaseong Fortress is the most recommended attraction because it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
From Seoul, you can take the subway line 1 directly to Suwon, about an hour's drive. Of course, tourists can also take the train to Suwon. Suwon City is not big, and it is not expensive to take a taxi between various attractions. There is also a tourist bus dedicated to people in Suwon City for everyone to choose.
In addition, you must eat grilled pork ribs once in Suwon! Because the grilled pork ribs of Suwon are a must in Korea! The most famous roast pork ribs shop in Suwon is the three father and son ribs shop. There are many people every day, so be sure to stagger the meals, or you will have a team that will be like us for a long time.

Walking along the fortress walls, I was treated to panoramic views of the city and surrounding mountains—breathtaking in every direction. Suwon — The Origin of Water in South Korea
Once outside of Seoul, the non-Korean-speaking tourists would be left to their own devices as to how they communicate with the Koreans and find their way around. That was Suwon to me.
In Hanja, Suwon means “the origin of water.” Suwon is the provincial capital of Gyeonggi-do, 48 km south of Seoul. There were really only two things to see there: the Korean Folk Village and a “faithfully restored fortress of Hwaseong” as described in the Lonely Planet.
The fortress of Hwaseong was built between 1794 and 1796 during the reign of King Jeongjo of the famous Joseon Dynasty that I kept hearing about in the palaces of Seoul. It was also an effort to make Suwon the second capital city. There are four main gates, of which the Paldalmun was the most famous and a designated national treasure. It almost felt like seeing the fortress of Xi’an, an ancient capital in China. The similarities notwithstanding, the fortress of Hwaseong was built with the best technology existing, “encompassing the strong points of both Asian and western elements.”

A representative relic of Suwon from the Joseon Dynasty
This fortress was built in the late Joseon period and is famous for being constructed using a crane designed by Jeong Yak-yong. Although it is a restored heritage, it is also well-known for being listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to the existence of the Hwaseong Seongyeok Uigwe.
Putting aside such historical facts, it is wonderful to walk along the fortress walls at sunset on a nice day. There are also many beautiful restaurants and cafes nearby, making it a great date spot.

Suwon Hwaseong Fortress is one of the popular tourist destinations near Seoul. It takes about an hour by train from Seoul. I visited in late October, and the area was surrounded by reeds.
