Here are some small tips for preparing for a trip to Japan (1).

Preparing for a trip....
1) Save the ID and password on your phone.
(You may wonder who doesn't know their ID and password, but I set them differently for each site, so I kept having to find my ID and password.)
VisitJapanWeb (I found the note I wrote last year on my phone because I did it last time I went there.)
SmartPass (I also found the SmartPass password I registered last time.)
TravelWallet (I didn't need a password even once during this trip, but I saved it on my phone just in case.
It's easy to make, and if you don't use it, you might forget it.)
Airline homepage ID, password
You have to enter it every time you log in to the airline app.
2) Print hotel voucher (optional),
Check reservation confirmation with the official homepage email~! And now, printing out the flight tickets and hotel vouchers is completely unnecessary,
but I print out the hotel vouchers.
Sometimes, when I look at blogs or SNS posts,
I see posts saying that I made a reservation but the hotel name is not there,
or that the reservation was not made properly.
If you don't have a child, you can solve it there,
but if you have a child and luggage,
it becomes complicated and difficult,
so after booking the hotel,
I always find the email address on the official website,
and make a reservation and payment through Trip.com,
and I received the reservation confirmation,
but I don't want to be embarrassed,
so I send an email directly,
and they send me an email asking me to check again.
3) If you want to receive calls or texts from your original number in Korea during your trip,
you must apply for the call forwarding additional service in Korea before you go.
For SKT, go to the T World homepage or T World app,
and apply for the additional service, and then press the call button *71070~
to apply.
Caution! When you come back, you must cancel the service yourself.
That way, you won't have to pay any more unnecessary fees.
After finishing my trip
(I'm afraid I'll forget when I get back to reality because I'm busy)
I canceled the call forwarding service while waiting for the airport bus home.
4) Capture the necessary QR, airline ticket, hotel voucher, etc.
and share them with your companions
by sending them all via KakaoTalk,
and then have them download and keep them.
(My phone may have a dead battery
or the internet may not work)
In particular, it's easier to pass the Visit Japan Web, airline ticket, and smart pass if you each have one.
I can have my child's and scan the QR,
but they don't like it when we go through the departure and entry procedures one by one.
One Visit Japan Web QR per person (in November 2023, each person had two QRs). Then, what about the Visit Japan Web QR?
The day before the trip, I went to the Visit Japan Web and
registered all my accompanying family members and captured the QR right away.
On the Visit Japan Web, one family representative can do it for all three people at once.
You also need the hotel's English address and phone number for the Visit Japan Web.
It's convenient to just put the passport cover on the back and easily put it in and take it out.
