🛒 Food & Souvenir Corner
This corner was truly Mongolian. 🇲🇳
As you can see in the photo, products with "MADE IN MONGOLIA" written on them were lined up neatly.
🍖 IDLEG JERKY – Mongolian beef jerky!
The packaging was also neat.
🥃 CHINGGIS GOLD Vodka – Mongolian vodka with a picture of Genghis Khan!
The golden bottle is so pretty, it makes a perfect gift.
There were also price tags on the shelf, like 48,880₮ and 57,780₮.
🍫 Golden Gobi Chocolate – The packaging was so cute, I automatically wanted to buy it💛
It was around 5,588₮. It's said to be Mongolia's signature chocolate.
🎁 Mongolian Ger Chocolate Tin – This feels like a perfect souvenir. The ger-shaped container says "PRODUCT OF MONGOLIA."
Just looking at it makes me feel like I'm traveling in Mongolia!
🇲🇳 A state-run department store brimming with Mongolian sensibility — the perfect place to enjoy souvenirs, chocolate, and even vodka all in one place 💛

Ulaanbaatar Travel Experience
After a 15-hour journey on the sleeper train, we finally arrived in Mongolia’s capital city, Ulaanbaatar. Stepping off at Ulaanbaatar Station, we were immediately greeted by rows of local taxis waiting for passengers. Instead of haggling at the station, we decided to walk a little further away and booked a ride through a taxi app, which took us straight to our hotel.
One of the first things we noticed about Ulaanbaatar was the heavy traffic—so if you plan to visit, I’d recommend managing your time carefully to avoid long delays on the road.
We stayed at Elegance Hotel, which turned out to be a great choice. The location was very convenient—just a 12-minute walk to Sukhbaatar Square, and also close to a shopping mall and several convenience stores.
For lunch, we went to a local food vendor next to the State Department Store mall. It was our first taste of authentic Mongolian food, and it was both unique and satisfying. After eating, we explored the supermarket inside the mall, where we found a small selection of Mongolian souvenirs. While there weren’t many options there, it was still fun to browse.
If you’re looking for more variety, though, I’d highly recommend visiting the souvenir shops at Цэцэг төв (Tsetseg Mall). There you’ll find a wide range of Mongolian souvenirs, from traditional crafts to modern gifts—perfect for travelers who want to take home a piece of Mongolia.#ulaanbatar #mongolia

#April travel support The shabu-shabu I had in Ulaanbaatar was so delicious! I bought clothes and a doll at the state-run department store. The day I return to Korea is getting closer, but I relieved my regret by shopping and eating. There is a lot of vodka and the chocolate is cute! It is crowded with people, so you can easily meet Koreans.

I live alone Mongolia
After visiting the Ulaanbaatar State Department Store, I went to the ice cream shop across the street and ate 2000 tugrit (KRW 760) and took a picture ♥ The rich milky flavor was great!!
