National Day Notes 2.0 || Wuhan
Hey everyone, I had a wonderful day and night in Wuhan~
Food Experience
Hot Dry Noodles 🌟🌟
If you prefer the flavor of sesame paste, then hot dry noodles will definitely please your taste buds! The sesame paste is rich and fragrant, and a bowl is only 5 yuan, which is super cost-effective~
Lotus Root Soup 🌟🌟🌟🌟
This lotus root soup is absolutely amazing, you must try it! It's different from the natural sweetness of lotus root. It has a five-spice flavor from the spices and a light salty flavor to enhance the freshness, making it a very rich and complex taste. A bowl is 25 yuan, and I love it!
Guiping Beef Offal 🌟🌟
My hotel was very close to Changdi Street, so I went there for a late-night snack. Honestly, it wasn't as delicious as people say online. But the radish was incredibly flavorful, tender and delicious, and the lotus root balls were pretty good too. Overall, the taste was just average, and a serving cost 70 yuan.
Li Diadia Rice Wine 🌟🌟🌟
Sparkling rice wine is absolutely delicious! I personally think it's even better than a cocktail. It's not too sweet, with a light rice aroma mixed with the sour flavor from the fermented koji, making it the perfect accompaniment to any meal. It's 15 yuan per pound, and they even ship it!
Visit and Check-in
Gude Temple 🌟🌟 10-minute visit
This temple has a very European-style architecture, perfect for photos. It's small, with lotus, orange, and persimmon trees, and the air is filled with the pleasant scent of sandalwood. Tickets are 13 yuan each, so there's no need to rush and book in advance.
Lihuangpi Road 🌟🌟 30-minute visit
This area resembles the Wukang Building, with its unique architectural style, making it a great place for photos and check-in, and there's no entrance fee. Along the way, you'll also visit attractions like the Soong Ching Ling Former Residence and the August 7th Conference Site.
Xian'anfang 🌟 10-minute walk
While visiting Lihuangpi Road, you can stop by Xian'anfang on the way there, but a special trip isn't necessary. It's also a great place for photos and check-ins, and there are some charming little shops.
Tanhualin 🌟🌟 30-minute walk
Tanhualin is a bit like Nanjing's Old Mendong and Confucius Temple, with plenty of photo-worthy spots. Leaving Tanhualin, there's a street with a strong urban atmosphere, where you can enjoy traditional Wuhan snacks.
Summary
Overall, Wuhan is a great place for recent graduates, especially young women, to take photos and check in. I was a little disappointed I didn't visit the Yellow Crane Tower this time, as we only had one day. Wuhan's affordable prices are plentiful, and there are plenty of photo spots and delicious food. Just go for it!
