I am disappointed with Songzan Basongtso!! (Infrastructure Edition) As a true fan of Songzan, I chose to spend my rare vacation with the Songzan butler team again. The whole journey was great, and the Songzan Ba Camp was simply fantastic (I'll write about it separately next time), but my experience staying at the largest and newest Basongtso Linka of Songzan was very unpleasant. The hotel's decoration and layout were beautiful, and the overall gold and green color scheme matched the Songzan style. However, because the hotel was too new, many of the basic facilities and services were not up to par, falling short of Songzan's usual standards, which greatly detracted from my entire stay. If you are looking forward to experiencing Songzan Basongtso, I would suggest waiting at least half a year before going, because the hotel is really too immature now. If you have consistent expectations of Songzan, you will definitely be disappointed. Infrastructure: It felt like renovations were still underway in many places, with construction vehicles moving throughout the hotel, and the sound of construction was incessant. My room was on the first floor, surrounded by windows, and frequently passed by construction vehicles. I tried the morning meditation experience during the day. The classroom was nice, and the teacher was good. The experience itself was comfortable, but the sound of construction workers talking and the noise of electric drills and saws outside the classroom throughout the process greatly detracted from the experience. Of course, meditation is about mindfulness and awareness, and I remained very calm throughout. In the room, the vanity had three very obvious cracks in the wood. Although it didn't affect the use, I think this should have failed the acceptance check. It doesn't leave a good impression on guests. When I first checked into the room, it was very cold, and the air conditioner controller was locked, so I couldn't adjust the temperature. The service staff tried for a long time but couldn't unlock it. At first, he didn't intend to solve the problem for me, telling me 'this is locked, but the temperature control in the toilet has been turned up to the highest for you.' I said that wasn't enough, I needed to solve the room temperature issue, and then he made calls for a long time before finally unlocking it. The projector in the room wasn't installed properly, the screen was too short, and the position of the projector table was incorrect, so it couldn't project properly. Another staff member came and spent 20 minutes before finally declaring it unusable. I didn't dare to connect to the room's Bluetooth speaker because it might have been taken from the neighboring room (since the Bluetooth name that came up was the neighboring room), so I ultimately didn't connect for fear of playing music through the speaker in the next room. I went for a Songzan spa, and the Basongtso spa had just won the SpaChina Spa of the Year award in September. But during the spa, there were several sudden loud sounds of wood cracking in the room, which scared both me and the masseuse. Afterward, the trainer explained to me that it was because the hotel was very new, and the wood had not yet settled in, so it would make noise when it expanded and contracted with heat. I'll also attribute this point to an infrastructure issue.

The Songzan Basongtso Linka Hotel is just too photogenic, including dining and accommodation experiences. I stayed at the Songzan Basongtso Linka Hotel for two nights. I arrived at the hotel around six o'clock in the afternoon on the first day, where the welcome staff presented us with Hada and highland barley wine. After checking in, I went back to my room to take a few quick photos before heading to the backyard by the lake to build a Mani stone pile. The next day was sunny, and in the morning, I went hiking at New Tso, followed by a visit to the Cuo Gao village. I got back to the hotel quite early and took more photos inside the hotel, where every step revealed a beautiful scene. In the evening, I even saw the golden rays of the sunset on the mountain. Regarding dining, the breakfast options were quite diverse, similar to other Songzan hotels. For dinner on the first day, I had stir-fried dishes, which were mediocre in taste. I ordered twice-cooked pork with pickled vegetables, which was expensive and not tasty, with the pork being too fatty. The beef buns were good, with a crispy crust and quite delicious. On the second night, I had a sauerkraut pork knuckle hotpot, which was fairly tasty, and the portion was so large that two people couldn't finish it. The highland barley cake with honey was also quite delicious. See photos 13, 14. Regarding the room, the location was excellent, with a view of the snow-capped mountains from inside the room. There was a projector in the room, which was nice for watching shows at night. The only downside was that the toilet took too long to refill after flushing. Other amenities included a free nightly bedtime drink, similar to other Songzan hotels. There was also a free afternoon tea available every day from two to four-thirty.
