Amazing waterfall view
This is the sipiso piso waterfall view in Berastangi, Medan, Indonesia I have visited not long ago. I reached there by road trip where I need to book a tour package, the driver used Avanza and fetch me all the way from Medan City to this amazing area, the fee is quite high but the view is worthwhile and most importantly there is a wonderful view and cool environment there

Sipiso-piso Waterfall
Sipiso-piso waterfall, is one of the tallest waterfall in Indonesia. The name Sipiso-piso mean ‘like a knife'; it has 120m high and it located in Tonggiang village, 45 Kilometers from Berastagi at the northern end of Lake Toba.
This waterfall is formed by a small underground river of the Karo Plateau and flows out into the Lake Toba caldera. To get to Sipiso-Piso falls catch a local mini-bus from Berastagi to Kabanjahe at the bus terminal in Kabanjahe catch any bus going to Siantar and ask to get off at Sipiso-Piso. Sipiso-Piso Waterfall has beautiful scenery and fascinating sightseeing. Among the cliffs that look greenish, the fall water is looking majestic by its grace. As we stand or sit far from the location, we can enjoy the beauty Sipiso-piso and Lake Toba from a distance at the same time. #SpooktacularTrip #fallingforfall #mountainview

Superb waterfall!
One of famous and tallest waterfall in North Sumatera. It has a height of 120m. Sipiso-piso waterfall has beautiful scenery and fascinating sighseeing. As we stand or sit far from the location, we can enjoy the beautiful Sipiso-piso and Lake Toba from a distance at the same time. It takes around 30-45mins to walk down and 45 mins to an hour to hike up, depending on you physical strength. The path can be slippery due to sands and rocks. The water is brown as you arrive to the bottom you'll see. You can see the waterfall from afar, but it looks better when you see it closer. There are some small shops you can stop to buy snacks and drinks as you walk down #summervacation #hikingtrails

Sipiso Piso Waterfall
I visited Sipisopiso couple years ago. It was a nice trip because you would see a beautiful waterfall. Plus, you would be able to view Toba Lake. If you use public transportation from Medan, you have to go to the Padang Bulan Terminal and take mini bus to Berastagi then get off in Kabanjahe. From here, you can take a mini van to Merek and then changing another mini van to Sipisopiso. Along the way to sipisopiso, you would see a beautiful view so you will not be bored while in the bus.
To getting here is one of the hardest part, because the road is not properly pave and a lot of vehicles on the road. But the spectacular view of this Falls made you forget the tiring journey!

WATERFALL SIPISO PISO
Sipiso Piso waterfall is 120m high natural gem 40 minutes from Berastagi.
The name Sipiso Piso means "like a knife". The waterfall is formed by an underground river rushing out and down the face of a cave to the Northside of Lake Toba. Getting down to the waterfall leads a lot of stairs, it’s around a 20-minute long leg exercise but is worth the sweat. If you get hot and sticky, don’t you worry because Sipiso Piso waterfall creates by its power an enormous amount of mist. From Berastagi it takes about 40 minutes by scooter or you can hire a car with driver. You can find its location in the google maps just don’t get confused when your maps will say "you have arrived" and you are on the small bridge in the middle of nowhere:D
The point in google maps is put on the actual underground river. You just need to keep driving and then take the first to the right. You will arrive in the parking spot and you will be asked to pay a 2k IDR parking fee. If you will continue little further down the road, you will get at the viewpoint on Lake Toba.
