If you're looking for authentic local yakitori in Tokyo's Shinbashi—not Fukuoka or Osaka—Torishin comes highly recommended!
This spot was introduced by local office staff as a dinner venue, and it exceeded expectations in both taste and ambiance.
From the entrance, the Japanese-style signage and lighting warmly welcome you, and the interior, with its tatami design, is full of local charm.
Starting with the fresh chicken sashimi served as a basic appetizer, followed by katsuo-bushi onion pickles, chicken meatball skewers, heart skewers, and chicken + leek skewers—all perfectly balanced and pairing wonderfully with drinks.
Enjoying **sweet potato shochu 'Murasaki no Sekitoba'** in a highball style created a fantastic harmony with the light appetizers.
Personally, the charcoal-grilled chicken thigh paired with yuzu kosho left a lasting impression, and the finishing **suimono (chicken broth soup)** and chicken porridge were the ultimate comfort food to wrap up the meal.
✔️ Local office worker vibe, ✔️ Affordable and delicious drinking snacks, ✔️ Refined Japanese-style presentation
If these three qualities appeal to you, Tokyo Shinbashi's 'Torishin' is a must-visit!
