Kaiseki cuisine without a menu hidden in the deep mountains and old forests: Shokyo Sanbo
#Shiyangshanfang Taipei's famous no-menu cuisine is hidden in the mountains and forests of Xizhi Xiwanlu. You need to travel through mountains and ridges to find secluded places to reach a paradise full of Japanese Zen style. I have to praise Shiyangshanlin. The site selection skills are truly integrated with nature.
The restaurant offers a reservation system and serves kaiseki-style cuisine that combines local ingredients. The dishes will change from time to time. The most famous one in the early days was the lotus chicken soup. The dried flower buds bloomed into a lotus instantly when washed with the soup stock. It was truly breathtaking. So beautiful!
The peanut tofu and dashi steamed egg are also outstanding, with a smooth and delicious taste, coupled with the Kaiseki Zen-style presentation, it is a double enjoyment for both taste and vision. The overall taste is mostly seafood, and the portions are also exquisite. The CP value alone may not be that high, but the environment, atmosphere and dining experience are quite comfortable and enjoyable.
Shiyang Shanfang moved several times, and later settled in Wuzhishan Forest in Xizhi, next to the Beigang River. The entire building is surrounded by mountains and rivers, which is quite artistic. In addition to the meal packages, it also provides a cultural experience combined with tea banquets, so you can enjoy tea after the meal, which is pleasant and contented.
