Visited the Shenzhen library on a Sunday. Firstly it's a massive space. One cannot imagine this complex of a structure being a library. I can only assume the book numbers run in millions. Covers a wide variety of topics. Almost gave me a headache reading about sections and took a good hour of walking all across it to actually find a place to sit. Who would have thoughts that on a Sunday, so many people would think of studying in the library. Or may be just tik tok. Anywho, this is very worthy of a visit. The Shenzhen Library North Building, which opened in early 2024, spans five floors. Although it lacks the sci-fi feel and flashy check-in spots of other new libraries, it stands as a fully equipped modern library with bright lighting and a quiet environment. Particularly striking is the vast wall of books inside, with an area so extensive it's eye-opening. The fourth and fifth floors also host small book or art exhibitions from time to time, free of charge. There are plenty of seats on each floor for resting or reading, offering a respite for the soul, and the Shenzhen Art Museum is right next door for a combined visit. #wheretogo I had a wonderful experience at the Shenzhen Library in Futian district. The library is not only nice but also quite interesting. It boasts a spacious and inviting environment with numerous study desks and comfortable seating options, including cushions for those who prefer to sit on stairs or the floor. What impressed me was the convenient book collection machine outside, allowing you to retrieve your books at any time. The presence of book sanitation machines inside is a thoughtful addition, especially in these times. As for the book collection, my focus was on English books, which seemed to be predominantly academic literature and an assortment of travel guides. The architectural design of the library is striking, with plenty of windows that flood the space with natural light, creating a modern and uplifting atmosphere. I could easily envision myself spending hours immersed in books here. Furthermore, the library is not just about books; it also offers a rich cultural experience. Chinese calligraphy on cloth adorns the front of the library, adding a unique and captivating element to the environment. Overall, the Shenzhen Library in Futian district is a delightful place for readers and seekers of knowledge, combining a comfortable space, an intriguing collection, and a touch of cultural charm.

I am just admiring the whole structure of this building and its vicinity. It's the Shenzhen Library. (adjacent to the Shenzhen Concert Hall) Its a solid steel and cement structure. Very masculine. More like a spaceship looking only it has a whole lot of glasses. Both of these venues are actually looking like the same architecture. I went up the other day, but unfortunately the library is closed for the meantime so i didnt got the chance to see whats inside. (i may have to go back next time to see why people saying that this is one of the most beautiful library they've seen so far) Nevertheless, outside is as beautiful as it is. Give it a visit a be amazed how it looks. Its location is next to Shenzhen Civic Center, in CBD, Futian district.
