[Sham Tseng] "Chen Kee Roast Goose" - A Little Love Knot
My partner and I were strolling around Sham Tseng. We arrived around 7pm on a Saturday and didn't have to wait for a table, which was a bit surprising. We were given a table. The decor wasn't modern, but not old-fashioned either. It felt like something from about 20 years ago, simple and clean.
Roast Goose $185
The roast goose wasn't too fatty, the skin was crispy, and the meat was flavorful. It was enough for two people.
Chin Kee Roast Goose $78
The other side dishes were a few dozen more, which was cheaper than I expected. We only ordered a few vegetables. The choy sum was huge and on a large plate, with lots of minced meat. It would have been easier to eat if it had been slightly cut, haha.
Roast Goose with Rice Noodles
Eating roast goose with rice noodles is a special treat. The rice noodles are smooth and easy to finish in a few bites.
Having roast goose in Sham Tseng is a small special treat. It's a reasonable price for a regular Chinese teahouse.
