I had dinner with a friend at a Western restaurant next to the Shanghai Grand Theatre, and the overall experience was excellent. Once the show started, the restaurant became noticeably quieter, making it feel almost like a private dining space. The mushroom soup was rich with umami flavor and made for a great appetizer. The steak (with a ¥100 supplement) was perfectly cooked, and the vegetable and cherry tomato garnish was well-balanced. The asparagus came in generous portions—long, fresh, and tasty. The creamy mushroom pasta had a rich, full-bodied flavor, and the pasta itself was cooked to just the right texture—neither too soft nor too firm. Very satisfying! Passed by the Shanghai Theater on our way to the Shanghai Museum. We saw the teaser for the show and bought tickets for the Nov1 show. An unplanned activity and it turned out to be a great surprise.
