A high-quality western restaurant in its own corner
I originally wanted to go hiking in Sham Tseng today, but the weather was average ☁️ with dense clouds, and I couldn’t see the blue sky and the sun 🌥. The only way to make up for it was to have a delicious meal.
Location: Take bus 52x and get off at Haiyun Garden, walk to Bank of China, go up the stairs and walk to the end.
Environment: It can be divided into indoor and outdoor. The outdoor environment is very romantic, with white tents and small yellow lights, and 🌼flowers🌸 placed around. The indoor environment has a bar counter and gray-style decoration, like a general western restaurant. I think the outdoor environment is more comfortable and relaxing than the indoor environment.
Service: The staff will recommend the day's special menu and are polite and friendly.
Lunch: The lunch set includes a main dish, a bun, soup and a meal.
Appetizer: Garlic potato clam soup and two garlic buns 🍞
The potato soup is delicious. There is no soup base, but the soup is smooth and thick, not like canned soup. The two buns are different styles, one is a green herb and butter garlic bun, which is good.
🦀Crab meat and mushrooms🍄Risotto $158
The presentation was nice, with the risotto garnished with crab roe, fried rice paper and sprouts. 😍I like the restaurant to cook the risotto juicy and soft. I don’t like risotto that is too tough. The ingredients are generous and you can eat crab meat and mushrooms. It may not seem like a lot, but it is actually very filling.
Hot Earl Grey Tea ☕️
It's so hot when brewed with a tea bag and boiling water that you need to spread it out to cool.
Italian panna cotta with jam 🍮$48
The presentation is very delicate. It’s the first time I’ve seen blueberries cut in half and stacked up. It’s really thoughtful. There is not much jelly in the glass bottle, with blueberry jam and strawberries🍓. The jelly is smooth enough, with a light milky flavor, and it goes very well with the sweet and sour strawberries.
Lemon pie 🥧$78
The presentation was also exquisite, with a layer of crystal syrup and a leaf on the lemon pie, and grains of sugar on the side as decoration. There is nothing special about the pie crust. The ratio of lemon sauce and syrup in the middle is just right, with a balance of sweet and sour, not too sweet, and also brings out the slight sourness of lemon. It’s just that the price is a bit expensive.
