In 2018, it was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site with the title of Sansa, Korean Mountain Monastery. The head temple of Taegojong.
When King Jeongjo had no heir, Monk Nulam prayed for 100 days at Wontongjeon in Seonamsa and Monk Haebung prayed at Daegakam, and King Sunjo was born. After that, it is said that King Sunjo gave a plaque with the words Incheon Daebokjeon, a silver incense burner, a pair of dragon-patterned caskets, a gold bottle, and a palanquin to Seonamsa. In spring, about 30 plum and red plum trees that are 350 to 600 years old bloom and are designated as a natural monument. In fall, maple leaves bloom and in winter, camellia flowers are in full bloom. There is a nice cypress forest around the temple that is good for walking, and if you want to see about 1,800 cultural assets such as treasures, I recommend the Seongbo Museum.
