I was supposed to fly on Sunday evening and come back Tuesday morning. In reality, it was a last-minute trip on Monday. On the first day, I had meat noodles for dinner, which was like a midnight snack, and slept at the hotel. The next day, I went to Saryeoni Forest Trail and ate agujjim nearby. The snowy Saryeoni Forest Trail was totally my style😭 And my wife really wanted to see camellia trees, so we had to go to Dongbaek Arboretum 😂 But it was so pretty…! You should definitely go to Dongbaek Arboretum in winter🥹 And in the evening, I met an acquaintance at Hamdeok Beach and he bought me meat. The already famous Saryeoni Forest Trail in Jeju🌲🌲 I finished the 2 and a half hour walking course! The entrance to Saryeoni Forest Trail was attractive because of the dense trees, but the scenery that changed little by little as I went into the forest was also great for walking! I passed the red path, passed the mossy stones, and reached the cloud bridge at the end! It was a shame that the weather was cloudy, but the feeling of the winter forest was so refreshing! #JulyTravelSupport During this trip to Jeju Island, I visited Saryeoni Forest Road, Ghibli Shop, Waterland, Columnar Joint, and 981 Park! First, Saryeoni Forest Road🌲 The moment you walk in, the air changes. The forest smells so good, and the sunlight streaming down through the green trees feels like a scene from a movie. This is a course I highly recommend when you want to heal in nature. Ghibli Shop✨ A place where Ghibli fans will definitely be happy because there are so many Studio Ghibli movie posters hanging on the walls! The goods are cute, including Totoro, Spirited Away, and Howl, and the interior is full of emotion, making it great for taking pictures. Jeju Waterland💧 Even though it's indoors, water flows on the floor and the entire wall is filled with images, so it really feels like you're in another world! The pictures I took while walking on water were the best shots of my life. I recommend this as a unique indoor experience. Columnar jointing 🌊 When I look at the stone pillars densely built on the cliffs by the sea, I am amazed by the mystery of nature. The sound of the waves crashing and the stone pillars blend together, and just looking at them makes me feel at ease. 981 Park🏎️ Lastly, 981 Park! You can ride a kart and do survival, and the kart course is long and fast, so it was so much fun. Sangumburi offers a majestic view of the crater combined with lush green meadows, making it perfect for taking photos. The silver grass swaying in the wind was also incredibly beautiful. 👍 Next, we visited the Saryeoni Forest Path, where the dense trees made the air feel so fresh and cool. Just walking along the forest path felt healing, so we took our time strolling leisurely. There were benches scattered throughout, making it a great place to rest. For nature lovers, this is the ultimate course. The contrasting charms of the forest and the crater enriched our day, making us want to visit again. Finally, we ended the day in Jeju City with braised cutlassfish. It was unlike any braised cutlassfish I’ve ever had before. The fish was so tender it practically melted in your mouth. It was also more affordable and tastier compared to other places. 👍

This trip was a combination of travel and park golf with 8 members from the park golf club. We departed early in the morning, rented an 11-seater Carnival from Jeju Rent-a-Car, and headed to Hoecheon Park Golf Course located halfway up Hallasan Mountain. The course had 36 holes on a wide mountain slope, and we played while going up and down. After lunch, we walked a bit at Saryeoni Forest Path, then moved to Seongsan to see the canola flowers and Seopjikoji. We shopped at Hanaro Mart and checked into Ocean Star Resort, where we spent the evening. The next day, we made and ate abalone porridge for breakfast, then played two rounds of 18 holes at Gangchanghak Park Golf Course in Seogwipo. This course was great because we could see the sea while playing. In the afternoon, we had grilled tilefish at Gangjeong Haenyeo Restaurant, then visited the Camellia Arboretum, where the flowers were in full bloom. We took photos and then bought large amberjack sashimi at Seongsanpo Live Fish Center. We returned to our accommodation and enjoyed a hearty meal of grilled black pork and amberjack sashimi, followed by freshly baked bread from the oven. We chatted, played yutnori, and then went to bed. The next day, we returned to Daegu on an early flight. It was an affordable and fulfilling trip to Jeju, and we were able to get cheap flights through Trip.com, making it a cost-effective trip.

Traveling to Jeju on a rainy day can also give you a similar feeling. This is the Saryeoni Forest Path. In fact, this forest has many entrances. I personally came through the Bijarim entrance, which gives off a real forest vibe. I visited during the early summer, but the weather here was very cool, possibly because it was raining and there were trees everywhere. I didn't plan to go hiking because my shoes weren't suitable, but I walked around for 30-40 minutes to enjoy the atmosphere, and it felt quite relaxing.

As soon as you step into here, you will find yourself among towering trees, just like you have come to Korea's Forget-Me-Not Forest. The air around here is also quite clear. Not only is it super photogenic, you can also take a good walk along the trail and enjoy the phytoncides in the forest. Starting from Coconut Grove Road, passing Mulcak Peak, passing through Cedar Road, and arriving at the entrance of the densely populated No. 1112 Local Road, you will reach the destination. There are many kinds of trees planted here, including coconut trees, cypress trees, fir trees, etc. The average height of the trees is 550 meters!

What is this? It takes 40 minutes to walk from the Saryeoni Forest Trail parking lot to the Saryeoni Forest Trail entrance!! 😨 It takes 2 hours to get to the entrance and back... I couldn't move because I had charged my electric car in the parking lot..ㅠ But when I saw a "Minoreum" sign on the other side, I went there and it kindly told me to enter this on my navigation if I wanted to go to Saryeoni Forest Road. Maybe it was because there were many people like us who entered the Saryeoni Forest Road parking lot and came back in vain. ㅎㅎ Anyway, our group gave up on Saryeoni and decided to climb Minoreum. We thought it wouldn't take long since it's an uphill road:) There were horses and deer in the meadows along the way.. It was pretty and peaceful. And then the real hell of stairs began! It wasn't an uphill road, it was like climbing a mountain😱 When I went, the uphill road wasn't maintained, so the grass grew thicker as I got closer to the top, and I couldn't see the stairs! But when I saw a blog post from someone who had recently been there, they had cut all the grass and it was clean! Anyway, the view of Jeju City after the Santa Claus.. The blue sky and the slightly sunset scenery were so pretty that My tired mind was washed away a little bit:) But compared to other mountains, it might be difficult and less pretty ... Now, I will introduce you to Saryeoni Forest Trail, one of the three major forest trails in Jeju that everyone knows about. This place, which was created through a forestation project, is a place with various vegetation centered around pine trees. Since the average age of the pine trees is close to 90 years, it presents an incredibly large and wonderful landscape. It feels like primitive nature. Wooden decks are laid out for easy trekking, so it is easy to walk with regular sneakers, and there are chairs placed everywhere and many photo spots, so it is great. If you come by car, you can come to either Saryeoni Forest Parking Lot or Namjo-ro Saryeoni Forest Trail Parking Lot. You can also use public transportation, so get off at the entrance of Saryeoni Forest Trail.
