[Carefully selected by local photographers] Introducing 7 famous cherry blossom spots in the Tokai region!
Hello! My name is Arl, and I follow festivals and seasonal scenery in the Tokai region!
This time, I'd like to introduce some beautiful cherry blossom scenery that can be seen in my hometown, the Tokai region.
There are many places that are a little obscure, so if you're thinking, "It's spring, but I'm bored because I've only been to places last year..." or "I don't really like photo spots that overlap with other people's," please use this as a reference 🙌
Now, let's start with the second photo of the carp streamers!

①Menmenada River Nanohana Sakura Festival
You can see Kawazu cherry blossoms that bloom a little early 🌸
This festival will be held from 2/15 to 3/15 in 2024. This is a truly luxurious spot where you can see rape blossoms and Kawazu cherry blossoms at the same time, and even carp streamers are hung from the trees.
On weekends, there are stalls on the special stage and a photo contest is held, so it's a very lively festival that I recommend.
Address: Menmenda River, Fukue-cho, Tahara City, Aichi Prefecture
Parking: Available in front of Fukue Nursery School
Toilets: Public toilets available

② Tanemaki Gonbei no Sato
Kawazu cherry blossoms bloom quite early, even in Mie Prefecture.🌸
The view of the rows of cherry trees along the road is very beautiful, and there is a parking lot nearby, so it is very accessible.
If you stop by after sightseeing in Kumano, I think it will be a great memory!
Address: 768 Bennoyama, Kihoku-cho, Kitamuro-gun, Mie Prefecture
Parking: Free parking available (109 spaces)
Toilet: Public toilet available

③ Gamagori Classic Hotel
This is also an early-blooming Kawazu cherry blossom🌸
The view of the Classic Hotel is wonderful, and you can enjoy tea time in the hotel, so it's a place that is satisfying just for that... but this time of year is special, and the space next to the wedding hall is filled with Kawazu cherry blossoms.
Many white-eyes also come here, so if you look for them, you might meet their cute eyes...?
Address: 15-1 Takeshima-cho, Gamagori-shi, Aichi Prefecture
Parking: Available (tourist parking is free on weekdays)
Toilet: Located inside the building, in the garden, and in the square

④ Suminomata Ichiya Castle
A famous castle in Gifu. It's a cool castle called Ichiyajo (One Night Castle) because it appeared overnight 🏯
Unlike Kawazu-zakura, the regular cherry blossom season is from here onwards, so once the season up to ③ is over, you can aim for ④ and onwards. (It's usually around late March)
There are stalls during the day, so it's a great spot for casual sightseeing.
Address: 1742-1 Suminomata, Suminomata-cho, Ogaki-shi, Gifu
Parking: Paid tourist parking available during the cherry blossom season
Closed: Mondays
Admission fee: 200 yen

⑤ Kiyosu Castle
When it comes to castles in Aichi Prefecture, Nagoya Castle is the first thing that comes to mind, but this Kiyosu Castle is a great spot to take photos at night.
If you focus on the castle while blurring the cherry blossoms on the opposite bank, you'll get a very Japanese, beautiful view.
When the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, a cherry blossom festival is held and food trucks are also available, and the place is lit up at night, so you can enjoy it both day and night.
Address: 1-1 Asahijoyashiki, Kiyosu City, Aichi Prefecture
Parking: Scattered around the area
Toilets: Public toilets available
Cherry Blossom Festival Period: 3/4~4/9 last year
Admission Fee: 300 yen

⑥ Koshakuin
This is a quiet temple in the city, but in the cherry blossom season, the cherry blossom scenery seen through the round windows is said to be very artistic.🌸
It is a temple in a residential area, so it is best to visit as quietly as possible, but the scenery you see is quite moving and it is a wonderful place.
Address: 115 Meizan-cho, Showa-ku, Nagoya, Aichi
Parking: Parking for visitors available
Toilet: None

⑦ Watoku Inari Shrine
A rare sight even in Nagoya City, this is a beautiful place with rows of torii gates and cherry blossoms.
This view is unique to Japan, so I think you will be satisfied even if you come here only for this purpose. Parking is only available in paid parking lots, so it may be difficult if you can't find one...
Address: 2-7 Kami Nagoya, Nishi-ku, Nagoya, Aichi
Parking: Use nearby paid parking lots
Toilet: None
