Latest Pokémon-related Events & Campaigns (2025 and Beyond) 1. Pikachu Outbreak — Scheduled for Summer 2025 The popular event "Pikachu Outbreak," held annually in early August, features a Pikachu parade and photo spots, primarily in the Yokohama Minato Mirai area. The 2025 event is expected to take place around August 6th-12th. 2. Pokémon Card Art Walk — June-September 2025 (Landmark Plaza and Other Locations) From June 27th to September 30th, 2025, "Pokémon Card Art Walk" will be held at Landmark Plaza, MARK IS Minato Mirai, and Sky Building. This art exhibit features over 1,000 Pokémon cards, primarily featuring illustrations of the original 151 Pokémon from Pokémon Red and Green.  3. POKÉMON COLORS YOKOHAMA — Archive (2023 Event) "POKÉMON COLORS YOKOHAMA" will be held on the 5th floor of Landmark Plaza from July 26 to August 18, 2023. The exhibit combined Pokémon with hands-on activities, including virtual fishing and cycling.  4. Pokémon Japan Championships 2025 — June 21st and 22nd (Pacifico Yokohama) The Pokémon Japan Championships (PJCS2025) will be held at Pacifico Yokohama on Saturday, June 21st and Sunday, June 22nd, 2025. The tournament will see Japan's top competitors compete in multiple categories, including video games, trading card games, and Pokémon GO.  In addition, commemorative merchandise (T-shirts, deck cases, playmats, etc.) is available for general sale online.  5. Pikachu Promo Card Distribution Campaign — World Championship Link On August 16, 2025, in connection with the Pokémon World Championships, Rookie Pikachu Tretta and specially designed promo cards were distributed at multiple locations, including the Landmark Tower (Red Brick Warehouse, Cosmo World, etc.).  6. Play! Pokémon “Worlds Celebration” Tournament — August 11–17 The Play! Pokémon (TCG league organizer) event “Worlds Celebration” was held from August 11–17, 2025. Participants received Pikachu promo cards (standard and “WINNER” versions).  2025 Yokohama Minato Mirai x Pokémon: A Complete Summary of Summer Events A string of Pokémon-themed events was held at Yokohama Landmark Tower and the Minato Mirai area throughout the summer of 2025. From the Art Walk at Landmark Plaza to the Japan Championships held at Pacifico Yokohama and the distribution of promo cards at Landmark Tower, this event is packed with summer memories that fans will love. The spaghetti with bottarga and fermented butter was delicious, as was the charcoal-grilled Ezo deer sirloin, which was surprisingly tender. However, the caponata and the perfectly cooked greens truly captured the essence of Italy. Although the menu mentioned five types of appetizers, more dishes kept coming, which was a delightful surprise right from the start. Having excellent antipasti is even more important than having a great main course! For lunch, you can choose between pasta and a main dish, but the staff kindly recommended adjusting the portions so you could enjoy both, which was a thoughtful touch. Although the weather was scorching, nearly 33 degrees, Tokyo trips always excite me. This time, I also visited Yokohama, which is about the distance from Seoul to Bundang, so it's worth combining the two for a trip! ------------------- 🧋Day 1🔥 Visited Yokohama Air Cabin, Canal Park, and World Porters 🧋Day 2🔥 Ribera Steak, famous for Choo Sung-hoon's steak (ordinary) Visited Odaiba Aqua City and DiverCity La Vista Tokyo Bay (highly recommend the hotel’s onsen, the gym was not that great) 🧋Day 3🌸 Visited Yoyogi Festival Visited Harajuku Pig Cafe Tareyaki Nikuman (great value Kobe beef restaurant👍) Visited Shibuya Club Harlem and Atom (first time at Harlem, strongly not recommended..) 🧋Day 4🔥 Had hotel breakfast and headed back to Seoul..
