Exhibition introduction: American artist Lynton Johnson's pioneering work combines text, video material, and real-time data animation. It took seven months to complete the journey across the ocean. Every day for seven months, the artist, in the form of a swimmer, reached different waters along a predetermined route, tirelessly passing through large areas of discarded plastic, atolls, islands, and coastlines. When the virtual body, endowed with infinite physical strength, constantly cuts through the sea, do these actions seem like...
Review: Modern technology allows us to experience travel, adventure, and ocean crossings in the virtual world. I'm not used to this kind of exhibition. It's scattered, and the works jump between different media. It would be better to edit it into a documentary.

Rockbund Art Museum | A blend of fantasy and vision.
🌟The original building was designed by the British firm Atkinson & Dallas. It cleverly combines Western European architectural aesthetics with Shanghai's traditional decorative style, showing a unique mixed style.
⏹️
🌟After 2005, the building underwent careful renovation and expansion. The project was personally presided over by the famous British architect David Chipperfield. It not only perfectly retains its historical charm, but also gives it new life and vitality.
⏹️
👍The Rockbund Art Museum takes "humanistic care and promotion of art" as its lofty mission, deeply cultivates the research field of contemporary art, and is committed to becoming an important platform for art exchange and innovation.

Bund Art Museum Limited Time Free - Rewriting Shanghai
Exhibition Name: Rewriting Shanghai: Reconstructing the Asian Society Library of the Early 20th Century
Exhibition Location: 3rd Floor, Bund Art Museum (20 Huqiu Road)
Public Transportation: Metro Line 10, East Nanjing Road Station
Exhibition Dates: March 23, 2024 to August 25, 2024
Exhibition Tickets: Free Reservation (Limited Time Open)
Exhibition Introduction: Entering the exhibition is like opening a book. In 1936, the Asian Society's Shanghai Museum published a green book similar to today's guidebooks. On the first page, you can see a watercolor painting by the then museum director, Mr. Suade, which echoes the first work of the current exhibition. The wallpaper design of the exhibition is also derived from the cover of a book called 'Overview of Chinese Art' by Ferguson. The central area of the space is composed of five different-shaped display stands, each telling the story of an individual. The diverse arrangement also echoes the exhibition's concept - the so-called historical narrative is not linear but a mosaic pieced together by different voices and individual experiences. In addition to exhibiting primary archival documents, the exhibition also features the involvement of two contemporary artists: Zhang Ruyi, a representative artist in installation, sculpture, and mixed media; and Chen Ronghui, a photographer who once served as a documentary news reporter.
Whispers of the Wind: The third floor of the Bund Art Museum, formerly the Royal Asiatic Society (R.A.S.), was once a library. The introduction to this exhibition is designed to be a series of small cards, echoing the library.

May 18th is International Museum Day, and the Bund Art Museum offers free admission to all members of the public. From 5/18-19, for two consecutive days, you can enjoy multiple exhibitions at once, making it an unmissable free art feast in the Magic City recently.
🎉 The current exhibitions at the art museum include:
⛰️ Hu Yun: Distant Mountains
Shanghai Bund Art Museum 4-6F
🌆 Overwriting Shanghai: Reconstructing the Asia Society Library from the Early 20th Century
Shanghai Bund Art Museum 3F
🐦 Lecture Hall
Shanghai Bund Art Museum 2F
In the afternoon, the museum also offers free guided tours. The Bund Art Museum's recent colorful staircase art installation is also a highlight. The artist uses waves and beautifully curved lines to outline a five-story art space 'with no up, no down, no left, or right,' adding new artistic colors to the Bund Art Museum.

Shanghai Bund Art Museum
It's been a long time since I last visited the Bund. As the car passed by that iconic European-style architecture, I felt a bit emotional. Such a place with a strong aura truly deserves to be the landmark of the Magic City.
The art museum is currently exhibiting a theme called 'Tosh Basco: No Sky Above', Tosh Basco is an American artist of Filipino descent, and this is her first comprehensive solo exhibition. She uses painting as a translation form to express the subtle entangled bodily behaviors. Under 'No Sky Above', the studio is the stage, the performance is the rehearsal, painting is the touch, and improvisation is also a form of liberation.
Art, to me, is still a field that I hardly understand yet deeply respect.
The building where the art museum is located must be a hundred years old by now! On the sixth floor, there's a cafe with not many people, and there's also an outdoor terrace with a very nice view.
You can park on the nearby Hong Kong Road, with the first hour costing 15 yuan, and every subsequent half hour costing 10 yuan.

The stairs inside the Shanghai Bund Art Museum are so beautiful🥳!
✨Here, let's not talk about the exhibition (the exhibitions inside are mostly very good-looking), the architecture of the art museum itself is worth a look!
✨I like the stairs of the Bund Art Museum the most, it's really super photogenic🤣!
✨Sitting in the coffee shop on the 6th floor, it feels like it has a magical healing function🌿!

Mew sees the exhibition! Be prepared for the dazzling!
Among the many recent exhibitions, it is a very interesting one. It is very interactive, colorful, fun, and you can't extricate yourself in minutes!
The ticket is exchanged on the first floor. There is also a butcher shop on the first floor and a variety of shops for sale. The second floor is a highly artistic floral sculpture. On the third floor, I queued into the Japanese-style lodge, went in and peeed and then took a cup of tea. On the fourth floor, you can play the music on your mobile phone. The live lighting will beat with the rhythm of the music, and everyone will follow. The mosaic wall on the fifth floor, close to the abstract and far-sighted, is especially suitable for taking pictures! The top floor can be redeemed for a small glass of wine for free, starting at 6pm!
[Looking at the show]
Choose a more fashionable combination, the use of color blocks and the style of the exhibition itself is closer! Gold embellishment can also add some detail to the overall sense of high quality ~
