The Thames: London's Lifeline and My Tranquil Escape
The Thames, London's flowing heart, weaves tales of the city's past and present.
Its currents echo centuries of history – from royal processions to modern-day bustle. I find solace along its banks, where the urban frenzy melts into serene waters.
Walking across iconic bridges, I'm greeted by the whispers of the past. The Tower Bridge's majesty, the Millennium Bridge's modernity – they connect more than just land.
The riverside promenades offer a refuge, a place to pause and reflect.
This river isn't just London's lifeline; it's my tranquil escape in the midst of the city's constant pulse.

Cherry blossoms bloom in London 🌺
Spring is just around the corner, which means longer days, warmer weather and flowers everywhere and good vibes in general. During this time of year, the beautiful landscapes of London come back to life.
The weather is quite pleasant and everything is colourful. I highly recommend visiting London during this time of the year and taking a walk along the river Thames and Tower Bridge Road. How great is the cherry blossom? 🌺🌺🌺💃🏻

London - the riverside
Amazing views by the river in the capital city. Nike had an exhibition of their shoes on the Southbank which sees the landscape of the city buildings behind it. The materials used were also great as it showcased the softness. PlayStation also had an exhibition recently by the river similar to it. This river walk is great as you pass all the London bridges such as London Bridge, Tower Bridge and Chelsea bridge.

London old and new living in harmony
There are many places in the world where you can find modern buildings. Sky scrapers that have taken the place of a life long past.
In London however you can find the most modern building next to one that has been there over a hunderd years. It is not far from the London City with the Shard, Loyds, the Cheese Grater and other fancy buildings to Tower Bridge, just east or st Paul's Cathedral west and about 5 minutes further one of the few remaining original pubs The Old Chesire Cheese.
The current pub was rebuild after the great fire over 300 years ago and well worth a visit, located at Fleet Street just minutes away from.st Paul's.
I recommend you stay near Tower Bridge in the Indigo hotel and after a good breakfast cross Tower Bridge and walk and cross the Thames again just after London bridge to see St Paul's, the West end, Covent Garden, Neals Yard and Westminster with Big Ben, the Wheel and the famous guards.
This is a good walk and will take you most of the day. Bus 15 at Charing Cross will take you back to just outside the hotel where you can relax before eating in one of the many restaurants. For Chinese try My Old Place about 5 minutes away, for Thai the restaurant next to the hotel or have one of the many other cuisines available.
If you arrive at Heathrow take the new Elizabeth line, and safe at least £18, on a quick transfer.

The Thames River Cruise In London
The Thames River isn't the most romantic river to have a boat ride o due to the very murky waters but I've to say it's a boat ride especially for travellers like us.
Due to the popularity of the Thames River cruise there are several company where some will take you on a 3 hour boat ride, where some just take you a 90mins boat ride pass the several iconic monuments like tower bridge, big Ben, Tower of London, London Eye and all the important monuments where travellers should see and head back to port.
Do make sure you plan your trip ahead, a recommendation is to go for the Thames rivercruise which was also said to be the original one. Do a night cruise if you have time, the view is a totally different setting where you will see the various lights being lighted up on all these iconic monuments.

Landmarks along the River Thames
There is so much to see and do in London. It has always been said that a trip to London is never complete without a walk down the River Thames. History lives and breathes along this river, so here are 3 main landmarks along the River Thames you HAVE to see!
Firstly, I recommend going on a stroll from the Big Ben to the Tower Bridge. Otherwise you may book an online cruise/tour or purchase a ticket at one of the stands by the river.
1. Big Ben - A true icon of London and spectular in person! Come close to the turn of the hour to hear the bells ring.
2. London Eye - If you have time, get a ticket and go up for a ride (£43 with a river cruise ticket!)
3. Tower Bridge - Built in the 1890s, this bridge makes a great background for a cool instagram post. (Cover Photo)
Overall, these 3 landmarks are the must-sees of the River Thames. They are not too far apart from each other, so dedicating the afternoon to this is enough. Check out my pictures from my latest trip! ⬆️
Getting There - Many underground stations along the River Thames. I recommend starting at Westminster Station.
Attractions - Big Ben, London Eye, Tower Bridge, Tower of London
Hotels - Many upscale and budget options nearby
Food & Restaurants - Choose a cafe along the river! Amazing views.
Shopping - Tons of cool boutiques and souvenir shops along the way.

World Heritage Site - Journey along the River Thames in England
The River Thames is located in the southwest of England and is known as the "Mother River" of the UK. It is 346 kilometers long and runs through more than 10 cities along the river, including the capital city of London.
Most of London's main buildings are located on both sides of the River Thames, some of which have a history of hundreds or even three or four hundred years, such as the statue of Admiral Nelson, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's Cathedral, Royal Albert Hall, Parliament Building, Tower of London, Tower Bridge, etc. There are also many tourist attractions near the River Thames, such as Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, and the Sherlock Holmes Museum. In addition, there are 27 bridges along the river, each with a different structure and scenery, among which Waterloo Bridge, Westminster Bridge, and Lambeth Bridge are the most spectacular.
Enter the foggy city of London, the first thing to appreciate is the beautiful and civilized River Thames. The endless mist carries the beauty of England, spreading along the long banks of the Thames. The mouth of the Thames is the busiest place in England, where ships from the south and north gather. Wherever the river flows, it is the essence of British culture, and the Thames is the eternal theme of London.

The highly anticipated "Mission Impulse 6: Total Disintegration" was released in China, and received rave reviews. The handsome Atango once again played for the action drama, thrilling, and enjoyed it too much! In addition to the classic familiar melody, still handsome and aggressive Tom Cruise, the beauty of the movie under the lens is also crazy! A Tangos shot on the roof of London believes that you must be impressed by Shenzhen. With the cool running of the Tango, the scenery on both sides of the Thames, St. Pauls Cathedral, Tower Bridge, Tate Modern, and the Shard Building The logo buildings are all appearing in the movie. The Thames, enriching the history of England, the boat tour, the scenery on both sides of the landscape, such as landscape paintings, slowly spread to you, it represents the country of London, and even the United Kingdom, the buildings on both sides are both old and fashionable, that is, traditional and trendy. It has also been said that the Thames has witnessed countless stories and rise and fall, and is a flowing British history.

A Thames Sightseeing Cruise with a London Pass.
Before living in this time, I took a big step and walked across every bridge. I never thought about taking a boat trip to the Thames. The cruiser was like a talk show actor, dancing and talking about every building. The story of things. The ticket can be taken up and down on different docks on the same day. If the weather is fine in the summer, I think I can feel the wind and the wind is not tired.
The world in the goose photo is only 2 degrees.
How important is a river to a city? The Seine River is in Paris, the Hudson River is in New York, the Huangpu River is in Shanghai, the Rhine is in Vienna, the Vltava is in Prague, the Thames is in London...
Thames Crossing London from west to east, dividing the city into two sides. In AD 43, the invader Rome established a port at the farthest point that the tides could reach. The battle turned to the stars and became the later London. The Thames is known as the Mother River of London. The Thames is synonymous with Times. It is a river that is closely related to time. British politician John Burns once said: The Thames is a flowing history.
The London Thames Cruises operates daily sightseeing cruises between Westminster, London Eye, Riverside, Tower of London and Greenwich. A sightseeing cruise every 40 minutes is a great choice for all of London's iconic attractions. Visitors can take photos of the famous attractions such as Big Ben, Tower of London, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, St. Paul's Cathedral and the London Eye.
