The the real star of the show was the indoor infinite swimming pool, which offered mesmerising views of Liujiazui and the iconic skyscrapers! The water in the Vitality Pool was perfectly warm, there were loungers in the water and jacuzzi jets, as well as water jets that were neck massagers! I could have stayed there all day every day. Hotel location->5 minutes walk from Dongchang Road subway station. There are many shopping malls and a lot of restaurants nearby. Room type-> Oriental Pearl Queen Room Room facilities->Except for the mattress which is great👍🏻, the other facilities in the room are old and the plugs are broken. Service -> The overall staff is not up to the standard of a 5-star hotel, especially the basement western restaurant. I have never experienced a 5-star hotel restaurant where no waiter showed up for a long time. The staff lacked initiative. Even if they were not busy, they would just stand aside and would not take the initiative to add water/tea. Breakfast -> Very limited variety, food quality was very average, very disappointing. Hotel facilities->The once internet-famous swimming pool. Only me and another foreigner used it that day. The swimming pool is only 20m long and quite narrow. We started from Qiantan Park and only rode the best part of the route to Pudong. We weren't satisfied, so we went back the same way and continued riding. This way, we didn't have to take a taxi back, and we could continue to the Qiantan Children's Park, where the kids could play in the gravity-free park for a while~ Then we went to Qiantan for dinner~ My daughter's stamina is really great! Before, she was afraid of going downhill and would brake suddenly, but after this route, which was all uphill and downhill, she overcame her fear of going downhill! The pool is 18 meters long and well maintained. 💰Average Spend: Around RMB 200 per person.
