Rayong Trip: 2 Days 1 Night – Kayaking Among Lotus Flowers and Strolling by the Beach
Last weekend, we took a relaxing 2-day, 1-night trip to Rayong. We drove from Bangkok in the morning without rushing, focusing on a laid-back and easygoing plan to clear our minds and enjoy fresh air near the sea.
Starting the trip with a visit to "Wat Khao Bot"
We arrived in Rayong late morning and began by paying respects at Wat Khao Bot. This temple is located on a small hill with stunning views of Rayong city. The cool breeze made the visit even more pleasant. After praying, we felt refreshed and lighthearted, as if resetting ourselves before diving into the trip.
Next up, our favorite activity – kayaking in the botanical garden
From the temple, we drove to Rayong Botanical Garden, which exceeded our expectations. We kayaked amidst pink lotus fields surrounded by various types of trees. It felt like stepping into a serene, private world where the only sounds were water and birds. The weather was perfect—not too hot—and the atmosphere was incredibly refreshing. Nature lovers, this is a must-visit!
Evening stroll at "Laem Charoen Beach"
In the evening, we headed to Laem Charoen Beach, arriving just in time for the sunset. The view was breathtaking! There was also a kite festival happening, with colorful kites filling the sky. The beach wasn’t overly crowded, creating a charming and relaxed vibe. We strolled along the shore, enjoying the constant sea breeze until the sky turned dark.
A cozy overnight stay at "Holiday Inn & Suites Rayong"
Afterward, we checked into Holiday Inn & Suites Rayong. The hotel offered fantastic views; our room overlooked both the sea and the city. At night, we left the curtains open and enjoyed the city lights from bed—it was pure bliss. The bed was soft, the air conditioning was cool, and we slept so comfortably that we didn’t want to wake up.
Summary – This trip gets a perfect 10 for relaxation
It was a short trip, but we truly felt rejuvenated. The air was fresh, the atmosphere was delightful, and everything fell into place without much planning. If you’re looking to escape the chaos for a day or two, we highly recommend following this itinerary!
