[Toyama] Kurobe Tateyama Alpine Route Diary⛰️✨
I stayed at the hot spring inn "Raichosou" in Murodo, Mt. Tateyama. 🏨✨
It's about a 30-minute walk from Murodo Bus Terminal. Due to the weather, it's recommended to wear appropriate mountain climbing attire. ⚠️
This is a mountain hut-style inn popular with hikers. While I booked a private room, the bathroom and toilet are not in the room and are shared. 🚽🛁
As for the restroom, there were plenty of them and they were clean, so there were no issues!
The view from the hot spring was amazing, and I was very satisfied. ✨
Dinner, as you can see in the third photo, was quite filling and delicious!
While I was very satisfied with the facilities, the smell of volcanic gases from the nearby Jigokudani Valley was a bit of a problem. While this may depend on your constitution, the room smelled strongly of volcanic gases (sulfur, I think), which made it hard to fall asleep. 😭
If mountain climbing isn't your goal and you're happy just getting to Mikurigaike Pond, I recommend Hotel Tateyama or Mikurigaike Onsen. 🏨
