In comparison, Old Man Peak appears too tough, Fairy Pool is too boring, Colt Rock is too cookie-cutter, and Neist Point is too singular. To be truly conquered by Sky Island is the moment you stand on the top of the mountain. The naked black rock mountain body is not angry and proud, and the meadows and wildflowers decorate it in a heart-warming way. The Quiraing is situated in the northern most of Skye in the area called Trotternish. We drive to the top and plenty of pay parking available. It is very windy on top, but the views are amazing. You can hike to the top to have a better view of the mountain. The Quiraing walk is a loop returning you to the car park for around 3 hours++. It is not a difficult hike, but you will be rewarded with the view eye to eye with the old man of storr provided it was not covered with mist. After the walk when coming back to the carpark, you can have some snacks and coffee.
