Stay at Surfers Paradise and just take a casual drive down the coast to Point Danger located on the Queensland/New South Wales border. Just park on the headlands and just admire the wonders of the beaches both north and south. You could then drive from the lookout to the beaches below at either Coolangatta Beach or Duranbah Beach.
