Nanjing is beautiful again, and the plum blossoms are in full bloom. Let's go!
📝Tips: The best time to visit is around mid-March.
Recommended route:
Muxuyuan Gate 1: Very close to Plum Blossom Hill, a short walk to Bo'ai Pavilion. I think Bo'ai Pavilion is the best place to take photos.
Transportation: There is a parking lot at the entrance, CNY 12/hour during the day.
Photography tips:
The best places to take photos are at Bo'ai Pavilion. The plum blossoms are beautiful, and the elegant plum blossoms and ancient buildings complement each other. The nearby Guanmeixuan was built in 1947, and is full of ancient charm. The color scheme is very elegant, and wearing a Hanfu here to take photos is very artistic.
The cross path south of Bo'ai Pavilion is full of flowers and is perfect for portraits. There are many cute little birds on the plum trees, and I recommend using a telephoto lens. Along the way, you can see white, green, red, pink, and yellow plum blossoms in full bloom, exuding a faint fragrance. This is spring.
When you reach the stone statue road, you can take photos of the divine beast and plum blossoms. The circle around the divine beast is weeping plum blossoms, which will look even better when they are in full bloom.
Plum blossom viewing tips:
Tickets: CNY 70 (free before 6:30 am). There will be more tourists soon, so I suggest you come early! I went around 7 am, and there weren't many people. The plum blossoms will continue to bloom until March, and more varieties of plum blossoms will gradually bloom, eventually reaching a spectacular sea of flowers.

The Meihua Mountain in Nanjing now is truly the ceiling of plum blossom appreciation in China!!
The Meihua Mountain in Nanjing now is truly the ceiling of plum blossom appreciation in China!!
When the plum blossoms on Nanjing's Meihua Mountain are in full bloom, it becomes a magical place.
In the bright sunshine, it is like a world from a comic book.
In the heavy snow, it turns into the Grand View Garden from 'Dream of the Red Chamber', especially now, with the clouds and mist, the spectacle is truly magnificent. The atmosphere for appreciating the plum blossoms is unique in China.
1. Meihua Mountain in Nanjing, located within the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, has always been known as 'the number one plum mountain under the heavens'.
Because it's large in size, has many varieties, with 35,000 plum trees, especially among them, there are two 400-year-old plum trees, the 'Plum King' and the 'Plum Queen' (the 'Plum King' is at the Bo'ai Pavilion on the mountain top, the 'Plum Queen' is at the Weixiu Pavilion).
2. Next to it is the Red Chamber Literary Garden, which is a Jiangnan-style garden built according to the first eighty chapters of 'Dream of the Red Chamber'. It is filled with plum blossoms, and there are people in ancient costumes taking photos, creating a really strong atmosphere.
Address: Meihua Mountain, Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum

Give me a little sunshine and I will shine
We must cherish the good weather on the weekends and go to Plum Blossom Hill again to see the surging crowd and the sea of flowers on the hills.
Following the main path of Plum Blossom Hill to admire the plum blossoms, we head straight to the summit of Bo'ai Pavilion, where the plum branches on both sides are charming and enticing.
The king of plum blossoms is also in full bloom, and some of the early spring plums have begun to wither.
Basking in the spring light amidst the sea of flowers, I just want to indulge in this feeling over and over again.

The Nanjing Plum Blossom Festival has opened! Today, I saw a different landscape
Early in the morning, I headed to Plum Blossom Hill from Gate 3 of the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, as the weather forecast predicted snow, there weren't many tourists in the scenic area. It was only when I got to the Plum Blossom Hill next to the Stone Statue Road that I realized most of the plum blossoms were already in bloom. The locals were mainly taking photos and checking in, while many tourists from other places were setting up their cameras to capture the scene. It wasn't until I walked up the hill that I found the buds were all frozen. Could it have been freezing rain? It was indeed a beautiful but freezing sight! After descending the hill, I went to the 'Heavenly Pool' Zixia Lake, which is at a higher altitude within the scenic area. It was a scene straight out of the north, with the distant Purple Mountain covered in a vast expanse of white, and the mountaintop shrouded in mist, giving off a fairy-like charm. Different weather, different beautiful views!

The 2024 Dragon Soaring China 'Plum' Wonderful Nanjing – Live Broadcast of the Plum Blossom Festival
📣 During the Plum Blossom Festival, tickets are 60 yuan per person (February 19 to March 15). ✔️
Photos taken on 2024.3.2 from 14:30 to 16:30, live on-site
Nanjing warmed up during the Spring Festival, causing nearly half of the blossoms on Plum Blossom Hill to bloom. Subsequent rain and snow let the plum blossoms experience the freezing cold before finally welcoming a sunny day today ☀️. Spring has an appointment, and the flowers do not miss it – the most beautiful encounter is probably: I just happened to pass by, and you happened to be in full bloom – the beauty should not be wasted, you must come and experience the joy of the Plum Blossom Festival!!
Beautiful weather comes with a beautiful mood. The current grandeur of the entire Plum Blossom Hill is indeed not as splendid as last year due to the rain and snow, but the mood to greet spring is passionately surging. Walking under each plum tree, you can smell the fragrance of the flowers – believe that spring will bring many romances 💕
Plum Blossom Hill Flower Viewing Guide ✔️
🍀 Plum Blossom Hill is located within the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum scenic area, with 8 gates for entry. I entered from Gate 1, which is closest to the commanding heights of Plum Blossom Hill, where the Bo'ai Pavilion is located. This is an important spot for checking in at Plum Blossom Hill, and from here, you can also see the distant Zifeng Tower.
🍀 Plum Blossom Hill is the foremost of China's four major plum gardens, and it has two plum trees that are 400 years old – the Plum King and the Plum Queen. The Plum King is located next to the Bo'ai Pavilion, and the specific location of the Plum Queen is at the Weixiu Pavilion.
🍀 Walking down from the Bo'ai Pavilion, nearby there is a 'Lovers' Plum' where couples can linger (see picture 11).
🍀 I recommend visiting the Honglou Yiwengarden within the scenic area – it's a very characteristic place to enjoy the plum blossoms, with white walls and green tiles, perfect for taking elegant photos.
🍀 For those who like to collect stamps ✔️Stamping point ➡️ Next to the class representative elephant on Shixiang Road, the pink tent is the spot – see the last picture, remember to bring a notebook 📝
🍀 The best time to view plum blossoms on Plum Blossom Hill in 2024 is estimated to be from late February to mid-late March.
🍀 The scenic area is fully equipped with facilities, with plenty of food and milk tea.
🍀 Hanfu and plum trees are a match made in heaven, taking photos is simply YYDS

Lesser-known cherry blossoms are as beautiful as a fairyland
🌟Highlights:
The late plums on Meihuashan have withered, and now the garden is full of February orchids, the pond is lined with the golden blossoms of winter jasmine, and the budding weeping crabapples, but the main attraction belongs to the cherry blossoms in the cherry garden. They have been knocked down a bit by the rain a few days ago, but more than half remain. Hurry to enjoy the blossoms, or wait another year!
👍Most recommended:
✅The pavilion in the cherry garden is stunningly beautiful, reminiscent of the Japanese Ryūri Kōin. The specific location is to turn right after entering from Gate 5, walk for a few minutes, and it's on the small slope to the right.
✅Take photos early, 8:30-10 am is suitable for portraits, it's too bright at noon.
🚉Transportation strategy:
1⃣Once again, I offer my magical parking lot, only 6 yuan for a day😄, a ten-minute walk. But be early, arrive before 8 am🙈
2⃣Take the subway to Alfalfa Garden and get off at Gate 3, walk straight for seven or eight minutes to reach Shixiang Road, turn right and walk another two or three minutes, and you will see the winter jasmine on the left, which is the entrance to the cherry garden.
🎀Tips
Light-colored Hanfu and Chinese-style trench coats match well with cherry blossoms. Bring atmospheric props for even better photos!

Meihua Mountain in Nanjing - Enjoy the flowers, the moon, and the fragrant knots
Meihua Mountain is located at the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, and it is the best spot to enjoy the flowers in March. 😄
Besides the variety of plum blossoms, there are also star magnolias (the first photo, standing tall before blooming, and lazily after blooming, very vivid 😄), fragrant knots (the second photo, blooming again for another year, ingeniously tied with a shared fragrance), crabapples (the dazzling red kind), and wintersweet, all competing in beauty. The sunshine is just right, the flowers are in full bloom, and the mood is just perfect.
Meihua Mountain is located in the Zijin Mountain's southern foothills within the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum scenic area in Xuanwu District, Nanjing City. It is an important part of the Zhongshan Scenic Area and is also a famous scenic spot in China. Nanjing's Meihua Mountain is known as 'the number one plum mountain under heaven' and, along with Shanghai Dianshan Lake Plum Garden, Wuxi Plum Garden, and Wuhan East Lake Plum Garden, is one of the four great plum gardens in China, ranking first among them.
Nanjing began planting plum trees during the Six Dynasties period, a tradition that has continued without decline for over 1500 years, earning the reputation of 'the best plum blossoms in Jinling'.

This February, you must come to Meihua Mountain in Nanjing to see the plum blossoms!
Meihua Mountain in Nanjing is located in the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum scenic area, known as the 'first plum mountain in the world', with a particularly large variety of species! There are currently 40,000 trees of more than 400 varieties. Half of the flowers were already blooming on February 8 last year! Recommended route:
Alfalfa Garden No.1 entrance: It's very close to Meihua Mountain, a short walk to Boai Pavilion, which I personally think is the place with a higher rate of good photos.
Transportation: There is a parking lot at the entrance, 12 yuan/hour during the day.
Photography guide:
The particularly good photos are all taken at Boai Pavilion, with the plum blossoms steaming in the clouds and the elegant plum blossoms complementing the ancient architecture. The Guanmei Pavilion next to it was built in 1947, full of ancient style, with a particularly atmospheric color scheme, wearing Hanfu to take pictures here, it's really very artistic.
The cross path south of Boai Pavilion is full of blooming flowers, very suitable for portrait photography. There are many cute little birds on the plum trees, I recommend you to use telephoto shooting, along the way you can see white plums, green plums, cinnabar (red plums), palace powder (pink), yellow plums competing to bloom, emitting bursts of fragrance, refreshing, this is spring.
When you get to the stone statue road, you can take pictures of mythical beasts with plum blossoms. The circle around the mythical beast is weeping plum, which looks even better when it's fully bloomed.
Plum blossom viewing guide:
Ticket: 70 (free before 6:30), there will be more tourists soon, I suggest you come early! I went around seven o'clock, there weren't many people, it will continue until March, there will be more varieties of plum blossoms gradually blooming, eventually reaching a sea of flowers like a tide.

Traces of Wonderland🚶🏻Meihua Mountain
#大bay区must-go check-in spot
Hiking up from the foot of the mountain, the mountain is open and spectacular, and the beautiful mountains stretch before your eyes. 😮The climbing process is strenuous but fulfilling.
When you reach the top of the mountain, what is novel is that there is a sea of clouds filling the air, and you can see a fairyland scenery in the mist. 😆Take photos on the rocks, it’s so beautiful.
If you come again, you must bring your friends with you to enjoy the clouds and fog together. We will definitely come back to this fairy mountain every holiday in the future!
This short mountaineering trip was endlessly rewarding and nourished both physically and mentally. 🔥
