Trip to Dubrovnik, Croatia 🇭🇷
It was a business trip to Dubrovnik, Croatia. Dubrovnik is famous for its Old Town, but on our second trip, we explored lesser-known spots that were equally breathtaking and offered unique photo opportunities 📸
We began our day hiking the lesser-used trail up Mount Srđ ⛰️ The views along the way were incredible, with panoramas of the Old Town and the Adriatic Sea. Sunrise is the best time to visit for soft lighting and cooler temperatures. Even if you don’t reach the summit, the vistas along the trail are worth it 😍

Jadranska Cesta, Dubrovnik, Croatia
We also explored Bellevue Beach 🏖️ a secluded cove tucked away from the crowds. It’s a hidden gem 💎 perfect for capturing dramatic cliffs and turquoise waters. We’d recommend visiting during the early afternoon for the best lighting on the water. It’s also a quiet spot to relax 🙌
📍Pera Čingrije 7, Dubrovnik, Croatia
As the sun began to set, we headed to the Boninovo Cemetery viewpoint. This off-the-beaten-path location offers a peaceful atmosphere and stunning views of the coastline 😍😍 Sunset adds a warm glow to the scenery, making it perfect for reflective photography 📸
📍Ul. branitelja Dubrovnika, Dubrovnik, Croatia
We also took a short ferry ⛴️ ride to Lokrum Island and explored its lush greenery 🪴 peacocks 🦚 and the Benedictine Monastery ruins. This serene island is an excellent place for photos, especially in the morning when the light filters through the trees 🌳 Don’t miss the small saltwater lake called the Dead Sea for unique shots 📸
📍Old Port, Dubrovnik, Croatia
We also visited Trsteno Arboretum, a peaceful botanical garden 🪴 just a short drive from Dubrovnik. It’s one of Europe’s oldest arboretums and offers enchanting views of the Adriatic framed by lush vegetation. Mid-afternoon is ideal for capturing the garden’s vibrant colors 🙌
📍Trsteno 20235, Dubrovnik, Croatia
For a quieter beach🏝️ experience, we went to Sveti Jakov Beach. It offers a stunning view of Dubrovnik’s Old Town from afar. We arrived an hour before sunset, which provided golden light for photos and a tranquil atmosphere🌤️
📍Vlaha Bukovca bb, Dubrovnik, Croatia
Lastly, we explored the local market near Pile Gate. It’s a fantastic spot for candid shots of fresh produce, handmade goods, and locals going about their day. Morning ☀️ is the best time to visit for vibrant activity and natural light 📸
📍Ul. Vrata od Pila, Dubrovnik, Croatia
This itinerary allowed us to see Dubrovnik from a fresh perspective, away from the tourist hotspots. I would recommend it to anyone looking to experience the city’s hidden beauty while capturing incredible photos 🙌🙌🙌
